  1. God they're getting the rub of the green.
  2. At the game. They seem super nervous. On another note, pre-game music at Richmond home game: Jimmy Barnes. Can't make this [censored] up.
  3. Just finished watching last year's game. Thing I noticed about Richmond is that they pretty much kicked all of their goals coming off Melbourne turnovers. I don't think they apply much pressure, they just wait for the mistake. They have perfected it this year so we need to be cleaner with the ball. I really don't know what to think about this Richmond team. We'll get a look at them tonight. As we will Melbourne.
  4. Hospital on Grey Street in East Melbourne. Get there about an hour before, though.
  5. Not be surprised.
  6. Kent I believe is leading the club in score involvements. It's an interesting decision. Seemed deflated at Casey. Doubt he expected to be playing tonight.
  7. I can't believe we lost to Freo. And we let them score as much as they did. We really need to tighten up and zone off better behind the ball.
  8. yes you're right. I was at that game. The next year I think they beat us by 120 points lol
  9. If I remember correctly we played them in Round 1 a few years in a row back in the 90s. They smashed us every time so the league fixtured us against Richmond lol
  10. Their midfield are still hard ball winners, which I think we trump them in even with Dusty there. Prestia adds some grunt but Caddy is a spud. If we were playing GWS with the same ruck setup I'd be worried, but, as we knew with Spencer, our mids simply need to go up a notch to win around the stoppages. Best Spencer can do is contest and bring the ball down into a 50/50, which is what he did against Freo for the whole game. Our mids let us down in that situation. A lot of people overlooking the performance by Spencer so as long as he brings that and our mids perform we're okay.
  11. Dusty underdone is still dangerous. I think he's turned a corner as a player and might lack explosiveness but he's strong in the air so Hardwick might put him forward. He's a danger regardless.
  12. Actually it was our defense. We had fewer scoring shots and were under less pressure to score because we tended to be on top defensively. We get so much of the ball now that we're struggling with two-way running again. I think our backline holds up very well considering. Problem lies in transition out of our forward line, which I actually put down to Gawn's absence. Our mids need to work extra hard, and realised that in the 3rd quarter last week.
  13. How could they find time for videos like that between writing articles about how the "boys aren't worried about the record" or that "it's not panic stations"? A lot of the coverage from the site is condescending in its positivity.
  14. Watched this yesterday. Do we have anything similar on the MFC site? Or just "Burg's Analysis"?
  15. Tigerland is playing their typical BS games. He'll play, even if not 100%.
  16. Some shows look amazing in it. House Of Cards is probably the best. Stranger Things looks good but the dark setting doesn't translate as well. Adam Sandler's movies also look good, but you'd have to sit through them...
  17. Howe is playing at Collingwood exactly as he did at Melbourne in 2015. His lack of defensive accountability is shocking and beyond being an intercept marker he is shockingly shallow. Not a "dumb" footballer and makes some smart decisions, but I think his personality was shown the door more than anything, not so much his skillset. I never took him for being much of a "team player".
  18. Our small forwards and midfield is a level above imo. The only problem is that they are playing confidently and very direct. I think they lead the league in long kicks. We overuse it, and they thrive on errors. Their style of play is very live by the sword, die by the sword.
  19. We win on the back of our backline standing up. We need good inclusions and I suspect Hibberd will slot in nicely. Even without Spencer we have great hands and great contested ball winners, and so we win the ball back a lot, and we tend to have the ball for longer periods. Hogan and Pederson should he come in straighten us up a lot. Alternatively JKH could cause havoc but I'm unconvinced. Key issue remains in transition, and this is where our defenders really need to stand up. It's going to be much harder with Prestia and Caddy in there. I still think we are cleaner and better ball winners.
  20. Richmond supporters are notoriously dense. I just skimmed through a thread on Dion Prestia, and someone linked to a positive article about him. The whole thread is convinced it's a media conspiracy to talk Richmond up so that when they fail, they can laugh at them.
  21. Selling at a bottom of the barrel price by devaluing the product every which way but loose. PJ and Co. could have done the nice "PR" thing and put Reach on their for 6 weeks but that would have just brought the price down.
  22. New 4K content being added monthly to Netflix. Plenty of great content online. Agree it's not fantastic but once Microsoft releases its Scorpio platform (the new Xbox) which plays games and streams in native 4K, you'll see it explode. And really, once an affordable, mainstream 4K media player arrives, the porn industry will jump on and the market will explode. This happens all the time. I picked up a great 55inch HDR premium 4K TV for $1200 from The Good Guys. Samsung, not some cheap brand. They had an online sale, plus a further 20% discount for purchasing through eBay. Plenty of great sales. A good TV also upscales at a higher refresh rate so there is definitely a difference. Gaming is probably the best gauge at the moment and playing NBA 2K, upscaled to 4K in HDR via my Xbox One S, it's the best looking game I've ever seen. Nothing comes close, including anything on Sony's PS4 Pro (which is technically -- literally -- only capable of upscaling to 4K). We're only at the start of the 4K era but compared to when Full HD was making a push, 4K is fairly affordable. You can pick up a really solid 4K Smart TV for much less than a brand new Full HD TV was in 2006, about 4 years before full HD was mainstream. We're much closer to 4K.
  23. We've really been gifted Essendon. They've already hit the wall and we're getting them on a fast ground after a 5-day break. Regardless of this week's result, we should utterly pummel the Bombers.
  24. AFL Members on the ground is almost exclusively Richmond. Maybe a few hundred Melbourne supporters but we'll be heavily outnumbered. Last year was a bit better because it was our home game but Richmond on a roll, 4-0, night game ... I suspect most of our fans will be demoted to the Ponsford Stand.
  25. Yeah VPN can reduce speeds. There are many variables. ISP might be capping VPN speed. Distance might be an issue but if you're with a good service it shouldn't be an issue. Server load. Maybe try a different location? At 4.84mbps, you might struggle to stream the 5mbs stream, but definitely the 720p stream. Maybe just pause it and let it load for 30 seconds. I have tried watchafl on my smart TV but my browser doesn't play it. If you have an Xbox One, it works via its browser. It doesn't work with the PS4 browser. It works on my iPad, iMac, android phone. You can pick up a Chromecast, which should play it through the browser.
