  1. Not quite sure we match up well with the Bombers. Fear they are a 4-5 goal better side. Like Richmond they pounce on opposition errors and are quite good in transition. Depending on how Goodwin approaches it, this next few weeks will really test his coaching prowess (or lack thereof).
  2. No doubt at all we start the season 5-0 with both Lewis and Hogan playing, even with Gawn out. They both play such important roles and they were important cogs removed suddenly from a team that was playing good team footy.
  3. Melbourne had a lot of fans there last night but trust me, sitting in AFL Members, 90% of the stadium was up and about when they hit the front. The only section that wasn't was the MCC and parts of the Ponsford. At least 60k Richmond last night. They are a sleeping giant.
  4. It was 65k Richmond, 20k Melbourne. Not sure what game you were at.
  5. Part of the reason why I just don't think we're ready for finals. We have gaps around the place and find ourselves plugging holes and then creating new ones elsewhere. We need Weeds
  6. He was held considerably time and time again. Riewoldt on the other end was also manhandled I felt so the umps let it go mostly. Difference being Riewoldt has the ground pace and versatility to adjust and respond. Hogan is too slow to get back into the contest. His teammates really need to utilise him better when he's one on one in space. If he's calling it from behind like he does, kick a fast, mid-height ball that gives him time to position, nudge and mark. Too often, passes are either directly to the opposition because the fall too short, or the ball is too high and takes too long in the air.
  7. I don't disagree with you but Jetta is also one of it not the smartest player on the list.
  8. Jones - Often drops head Viney - Solid albeit inconsistent Hogan - Must compete more Salem - Take first option Watts - Proving doubters wrong Petracca - Worked despite injury Tyson - Did he play? Oliver - Slick, clean hands Hibberd - Best on debut Stretch - Not his best Frost - Defended well throughout Melksham - Best Melbourne game Vince - Tried but slow Kennedy-Harris - Victorian Football League McDonald - Not his night Hunt - Had people cheering Neal-Bullen - Pressured Dusty well Spencer - Smashed before injury Garlett - Must take chances Smith - Ouch ouch ouch Jetta - Tight yet pressured Harmes - Needs more composure
  9. Rowe, Range and Thompson have all been part of finals teams. McDonald was a KPD in one of the worst teams of the past century (2013), and a non-finals team his whole career. Stupid selective stats.
  10. Injuries have killed us in two games, but ultimately, we've lost 2 games because of poor selection and coaching. Leaders have also slaughtered us at pivotal moments. Jones has been a let done since round 3.
  11. We lost it at the selection table. We needed experience and composure and instead we have JKH.
  12. Please constantly update with time.
  13. We are hurting. Bad. Dig deep, Dees.
  14. Is he wearing the banned bandana?
  15. I actually would be very impressed if we win.
  16. Watch Richmond closely. All of their entries come from transition. They are quick and direct, and confident in their scoring ability. We look to chain together 2-3 handballs before a kick. We still don't use the first option, which was an issue that persisted in the Roos years. Richmond have looked similarly average as Freo was in the first half last week, but look at what happened. Geelong killed us in transition and scored every time they went forward. Something very weird about Goodwin's attacking structure here. We are losing games rather than the opposition winning them. This game has the same makings of the Geelong and Freo game.
  17. God [censored] damn it. You wait and see. Tigers will come out and kick 6 straight in the 3rd. What a stupid way to end the half. We're still not convincing and haven't been since round 1. Teams know that if they stick around they can pounce. We make ourselves vulnerable.
  18. We are keeping them in the game. This is Geelong all over again
  19. Why do we look for a handball when a direct kick is an option?
  20. We just know how to win the ball. The problem is conversion. We are so manic with the ball that we sometimes don't know what option to use. We flood our own forward line. They had 5 inside 50s for 4 shots. Each shot coming from transition or an error at how half forward. We should be 8 goals up.
  21. McDonald's goal. Ran off his man and gifted them space and run. Granted Trac shouldn't haven't dropped it, but we had them covered....why McDonald left Riewoldt is beyond me.
  22. I hate goals like that tbh.
