Sub Jefferson off. JVR forward.

In Jefferson's defense he isn't even worst on ground.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
24 turnovers in a quarter is inexcusable.

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Carlton
100% of their score came from turnovers. Huge red flag.

Spewing i couldn't make it today. Crowd looks great and it's been quite enjoyable to watch on TV.

Training Ground?
I'm on the job hunt at the moment. Came across an opportunity on SEEK at the club. Location: Cranbourne. Absolutely no offense to anyone that lives out that way. But how can the club seriously compete for talent across all areas of the club if it's seriously trying to tempt people to work there? No public transport access. Horrendous traffic. Not to mention not the prettiest place in the world. Your talent pool is limited to maybe a 10km radius for a place like that. For people that live in Frankston area it might be appealing but even for those in the south East closer to the Bay... getting out there can be a real pain. It's a shame because the job ticked all boxes for me, I'd have loved to apply. I live 8km from the CBD. It would take me 1hr 10 mins to get to Cranbourne... now. At 10:30pm. It's no wonder why it came up in the whole Petracca fiasco last year. It never really clicked for me why it was such a big deal until I saw "Cranbourne" written under a job ad for the Melbourne Football Club. How embarrassing. Sorry again for anyone out that way, no offense but it is a joke.

Norf paying $4.30. Outrageous odds.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
That lead by Melksham is Just as I said. Melksham just did exactly what Fritsch doesn't.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Fritsch wasn't leading. He was running towards a player with the ball. Melksham would have broken off the Crows defender to create space. Fritsch just runs in a straight line.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
That last play there sums up our forward line. JVR has an empty goal square and forward line. Fritsch has a team mate streaming towards him. Three options: Fritsch leads hard to space. JVR kicks to him. Clean shot on goal. Fritsch drags his opponent away or runs off him to create space. JVR even shoots at goal or kicks/handballs to a free Fritsch. JVR backs himself in and has a shot at goal. None of the above happen. Fritsch jogs a lead. JVR does a chip kick 15 meters. Fritsch is spoiled, Crows get it out. This team is actually unwatchable.

Are we watching the same game?

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Jefferson and Kolt just don't have it. They both remind me of Jimmy Toumpas.

Always one handball too many. I swear this season is like a slightly better 2019 but nothing more.

NON-MFC: Round 17
McRae has seriously got Collingwood playing like Richmond circa 2018-2020. Just look miles ahead of anyone. Vulnerable yet intimidating at the same time. They definitely have at least 1 more flag in them. Their recruitment particular in the forward line has been sublime. And they got Dan Houston who was being handed to us on a silver platter.

It’s over - if you’re CEO, what’s the fix?
As CEO... I would like to direct this question to my General Manager of Strategy and Head of Football Operations, who will answer your question verbatim with prepared key messages compiled by the Communications team.

Training Ground?
Crown fed the entire South Melbourne precinct with investment. Without it, it might still be a wasteland. Love or hate gambling and the casino, it has transformed our city for the better.

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
I'm okay with giving Jefferson another chance but I get Michael Evans vibes from him. Does well at Casey but then little at AFL level, borderline liability. I am all for giving him 4 weeks but his performance at AFL gets so useless it's hard to justify his placement. Though I suspect he will be given 2-4 weeks.

Training Ground?
True, but at least there is something there. We are looking for money to build something from the ground up... surely it would have been good to have some foundations in place... and cheaper to improve upon?

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Under Goodwin we are either miles ahead it or miles off it. No in between. We have struggled in close games the past decade. This game seemed to have shades of the 2023 finals series.

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I'm enjoying a much needed break from the hustle and hustle in Melbourne, visiting family in the French and Swiss Alps over the next three weeks. The game starts at 7:30am here. I have never in my life felt less motivated to watch a game of football. I am quite looking forward to not watching it. It is seriously liberating to be in a place where it's so easy to break away from your own routine. I really look forward to reading through this thread, the game day and post game threads when I wake up at about 10am local time on Monday morning. I know absolutely no one cares about this but I have badly needed this trip from work and life, and after a week it has already highlighted how important it is to give your brain a break. Footy is just too much a part of my life to not be included in that "break" and so I have promised myself to just switch off and check in post-match. I am hoping for a win but I am not letting myself get worked up or too invested. I am also meeting an old friend in Geneva for dinner on Sunday evening so there is a good chance I will be mildly hungover to such a degree as to be physically unable to wake up at 7am to watch the game so there is also that...

3.2 to 2.6 this quarter. After they started 6.2 at the same end. Could get ugly in the third.

Changes at AFL HQ
Dillon is shaping out to be a real poor pick for CEO. CEOs seem to average 4-6 years at most companies. AFL tends to last longer but I can't seem him going the distance beyond 4 years.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Lever is listed on the ground but isn't listed as an "in". I'm confused. Shouldn't be listed as an inclusion?
