The preseason we didn't have

It sounds a good book ET. And also sounds like our Directors over the past 50 Years should read it as well. He sounds like the sort of President we've needed... one who would-not shirk any issue, with the (higher) authorities. and lead the pathway out of doom.

... either way... What may be known in minds, Now... as negative at this time. Might turn out in 2 seasons time, to have been a blessing....... ...... The perceptions currently have swung 180* from last October, to Now. from overly Optimistic... to overly Pessimistic. And, then the knives start coming out from behind cloaks.

I think you should make it public... So we can all see an even hand. across the board. Particularly when some like Rhino, got their power trips happening... and biases. ps: please could we tweak the banner by Mid season, bringing Jetta in, and May out wide or Off ? that's all for now. thanks DL

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Sometimes its just a matter of breaking the negative momentum, that's built up so far this season. Going back to Casey can do that for him. And similarly, the other way for Dec... Who last year, I was concerned about whether he'd go anywhere... but now, think he might be OK.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
I really was only thinking about out talls. not the whole team. or numbers.

CHANGES: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
I think the idea is to give Weide a early morning 'wake-up', call. Dec has had a solid bit of good form, and deserve s a game for his good efforts. It will give him some 'hope', that he's on the right track... and to stay enthused. And I agree on the smalls, starting with Lockhart. and Sparrow. Now is the time to put some games into kids, before the mature players start to return from injury, in a couple of weeks.

Injury List - Season 2019
I don't read it with mfcss glasses. I read it as... he'll be roaring to go, ready in about 6weeks, for seniors.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
No... we've gambled with 1st Rnd pickS... to buy Lever, when we still need so many players. I'd rather us gamble at the draft with 1st Rnd picks, to NAB an elite kid. rather than be giving them to other clubs. Our older players are past it now... and the window is half down atmo... until our new breed of 24 Yr olds make the next push as leaders.

Ed Langdon in no rush to re-sign at Fremantle Dockers Mark DuffieldThe West Australian Thursday, 18 April 2019 12:09PM Fremantle midfielder Ed Langdon says he will not start contract negotiations with the Dockers until the second half of the year. Langdon, who along with fellow young Victorian midfielder Darcy Tucker shapes as one of the Dockers’ key re-signings, said he was happy at the WA club but would wait to deal with the contract issue. https://thewest.com.au/sport/fremantle-dockers/ed-langdon-in-no-rush-to-re-sign-at-fremantle-dockers-ng-b881173084z .

Sam Weideman + contract
And... the other forwards doing their bit. Especially TMc... he should be the No1 forward, and Weide playing as the No2. The kid nerds a foil, at this stage. He doesn't need silver service... but he needs to team playing reasonably well around him. So he can perform to some degree. IMO he is a couple of seasons of playing consistently to his level of September, last season.

Injury List - Season 2019
Aaron vandenBerg | Foot – TBA “Vanders is still on the AlterG treadmill. We’re pretty positive about him, as he’s had a good couple of weeks, but he hasn’t started running outside just yet, so we’ll have to keep monitoring him.” https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-05-01/injury-update-preuss-to-miss-again

Josh Kelly
That is interesting. Is he holding off, just in-case the Giants don't look like being premiers, anytime soon.? ... or the opposite ? So he could return after... for his superannuation funds ? Feb' 2022... he will have Just turned, 27Yrs old.

It's getting beyond a joke with May being out all this time. This is one Big Strike, against May and the Club, Re monitoring players in the Off season.

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
He is our Rene Kink, at this moment in time. Kinks issues were around, discipline, dedication, and endurance of determination, IMO. Tracca, a similar personal culture ?

Welcome Back to the Bottom of the Ladder
You know, I don't mind the concept of the Priority Pick, but its too easily manipulated, to get it. ... and that manipulation is very distasteful to the competition, for what where all striving. Whispering Jack said a couple of seasons ago, that he thought the lower pick order should be drawn from a barrel, or such. I now agree with this. The AFL's refusal to put this idea in place... IMO smacks of they're desire to influence the drafts outcomes, and of who they'd like to be benefiting, from the drafts early order.
