This may have the effect of straightening our midfielders up, somewhat.

I like that he's a strong team player 'LT'. Good component'ry is a must, Re synergy in the forward team. Lets all hope the midfield components are all firing this weekend. ☺️

Lets send our best wishes out to Paul? Gaff... and the Gaff family. here's hoping for a full recovery for Mr Gaff.

Yes,,, but that should NOT stop us from talking to him. asap. Things can always be worked out, if the will is there with 2 parties, or more. Maybe this is why Carton are being touted about again recently,,, regarding a priority pick this year ! This priority pick issue that will NOT go away... in 2018_

Don't make excuses;,,, talk first, then worry about cost after, according to the chat.
  6. DV8 replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well, talk is, he is talking 'now' with the bummers. Why would we wait until next year to talk with him? If he's looking around now? Is this another, Dustin Martin 'no interview', type philosophy ? .
  7. DV8 replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can't believe that since D Shiel has been linked to the bummers, that people here are not discussing the possibility to get him to the D's.

    D Shiel?

    minor details mega.

maybe he's using a process of elimination ? ... reckons he has to get it right one year.

Currently there are only 6 players listed younger than Sam, on our list. At just 21 Yrs of age, I think this strapping 195cm Lad is doing just fine. https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/pp-melbourne-demons--sam-weideman

Then Weide would probably play as the decoy forward, again. Weide is a good long kick, he can lead out wide if he wants. Getting separation on the defenders.

Hah. Yep,,, I see, my mistake. My apologies to you, 'od'.

He does need more opportunity with us. rubbish.
  16. Also, while May is being touted around the place, could be another reason. I think Dewy will like to rebuild that Suns list with fresh attitudes,,, onto fresh minds,,, that aren't already fatigued of the GCSuns. I think most leaders up there,,, of the older players, will be tired of all the losing mentality, and wasting their whole careers there. May is very get-able, and IF we don't, our direct competitors will !!!

Sometimes I reckon the AFL listen and lean, on these things.
  18. Must have been shortly after this time-frame, when some figures estimates blew out, and the Hannebery talks were put on ice. I'm guessing that some contracts will be held over, until we workout our recruit signings.
  19. this is it in a nutshell. Played out of position, and our Mids are way too easily controlled.
  20. I like your creative thinking JDM. Agree with most.
  21. Hogan, TMc, Pedo, at this point. Weide to play deep, with Gawn resting there. What we don't have is collateral to trade/spend, for a Whitfield or the like. Hogan was the one for this.
  22. We can, that's what the Hogan thing was about, rdr.
  23. We need May big time, at the moment. Lever is no guarantee to last out 2019_ as we've seen first hand with the Swans Alex Johnson. Also lever himself, its his 2nd ACL. David Schwarz. Lets get after May this year. ... and look to trade in 2019_ for whitfield or kelly (I don't think we can afford kelly)
  24. This 'Cans', the trade idea, now.
  25. bugga. Well that leaves us now in a position, forced on us, to play a better forward structure. # on the weekend... rot. Jesse has been hobbling for some time. notably against the Crows. . What are the doctors doing... how many stress fractures go un-diagnosed, until its plainly obvious to the TV cameras ?
