no, 'ls',,, not at all. My comments are based around, that the supporters should be the first thought. The very first thought, all time. NOT an after thought or a sometimes thought. Prior to other thoughts, in considerations of this footy club. Supporters should be foremost as an ongoing thing,,, the rest including money from that support WILL flow, & grow from that attitude. The rest follows along, once this Aussie-Rules footy club has the attitude, to treat its support base very well. this is it. The accolades are to themselves. and no mention or thanks, Re thoughts to the faithful supporters... who surely create all the atmosphere and excitement, with their attendance, voices, and appreciation for the players_ Otherwise the players would just be chasing a leather thing around an open field. without much of a sound. If that was players talking,,, patting themselves on the back, without including the supporters for creating the atmosphere necessary to raise the standard, I am sure WE would all be up in Arms. This is a subtle-take on things Re the club, and how it can make small attitudinal changes with-in, that will have a large effect going forward. for the betterment of us all. The AFL also is guilty of the very same attitude in the past,,, of considering all stakeholders ('clubs', 'the players association', 'players', 'player managers', 'coaches', 'administrators') about the state of the game... and guess what occured... numbers started dwindling, excitement dropped, and interest waned. And all 'the stakeholders suffered',,, because the No-1 Stakeholders were not even considered at all. Until they started to turn their backs on the game itself. This was arrogant on the AFL's part & the people showed and are showing still, their displeasure. In a sense, WE might have been leaders of this attitude, unwittingly. It's time it changed, properly. It Is 'the people', who fund and enable this Games growth, and existence. .

Where Damo. I've just spent 5 mins searching the casey radio website, and the vfl website... and I can't find a button access to push anywhere on they're sites. This is a constant frustration to link up to Casey radio for footy. It should be on the Mfc Demons website, this stuff. F...M !

pre finals bye round is a winner. Another of my ideas, posted here I think, from a couple of seasons back. Maybe in the SOO threads somewhere... I suggested 2 bye rounds back then IIRC, filled with SOO games.

And the supporters !!! I think we as a club seem to continually leave the barrack'rs, the supporters, out of their thoughts,,, apart from the dollar value. ... seems wrong to me, and ingrained. and surely is a part of our bigger-picture issues. I feels like a business-mindset,,, of seeing the flock as a money making venture only. ... remember the days of, "the Customer is ALWAYS right" that sort of 'Appreciation & Respect', should be OUR goals. Not only at Finals Times of the seasons. Well done to all who started this ball rolling, for this Open Training session.... to sort of involve the passionate Advocates. well played..

I wonder if Dewy would prefer to start afresh with new leadership... who do not have half their heart out of there. I think May is gone. Just a matter of to where. And for an exchange of value that GCS can use to fast track them. The salary cap they recoup from these two, can be used to buy in some seriously good mature leader types. Which has become the norm of the past 2 seasons. I would not be surprised to see Roughy go there, for just one.

I prefer the missed finals for 5 Yrs idea. And if so, go to the arrow head of the draft, for the bonus. But also do a lottery system... firstly, those with priority picks. and then the bottom 6 ladder position at end of H&A... use the lottery system. This helps imo, to cutout the planning, for a spot and certain player concept.

Give the lower clubs a subsidised Bonus Salary-Cap space, & on a sliding scale... as they rise up the ladder the Salary-Cap gap reduces more and more,,, til finally the top team having the least Salary-Cap. Same with the Footy Dept' spend. Same for all clubs. No favourites... like newly established clubs. Apart from the inducting of players onto the initial list. edit: We cannot have the most powerful, being able to give the best players all they ever dreamed of. Most money and Most success. ... that's a recipe for disaster, and is non communal. I think this would remove the financial angle of, 'restraint of trade', based on dollars.

Two presenters. for me... on the Dais. Of course Barassi,,, but also Roosy. Barassi recruited & coached Roosy, when he went up to save The Swans... and Roosy, took the job to its zenith. Of course we all know Barass's contribution to the D's. And we all owe Roosy, for this build, who inturn owed Barassi for doing the same in Sydney town. .

Don't fall for that 'adzmn'. We at the D's, traditionally overrate our own... That's why we fail so often in finals series, mostly for this reason. Lets underrate them, and just continue building and developing,,, as we play Footy. We can play, and chew gum at the same time.

I wonder how many stress fractures have the Casey boys suffered, this past 12 months? Have you noticed the lake beside the ground, outer wing. Catches all runoff water, and is used for watering the ovals. Plenty of green grass around Casey Fields ovals. Not as lush around Gosch's...

Frost is 25Yrs of age already, and so is more physically mature, with more strength for that reason. Oscar is just 22Yrs-5Mths, so I think he will start to naturally fill out from this time forward. And his strength will also improve markedly, with filling out. Also, I think with this strength development, will come more self-belief generally, and more intensity with it.

Not just, simply outside run, 'shty'. Break-line pace and delivery. And highballs will go into F50 as well.
