After discussions with his management? Sounds like he told them he's not interested.

For the money?

The 1950's wasn't it?

I put us at about a 20% chance to beat the Gold Coast in round 1, even with a few outs. They are a significantly stronger side than us.
-
Well, the real win for us would be Ablett sitting it out. He's usually the on who takes the game away from us. Plus they tend to fall apart without him.

I can't help but link this to the Great Membership Drive and the clubs stated goal of breaking their membership record. How many of those families who sat around for an hour waiting and then left again are going to become members this year? I wonder how many of their kids are going to listen to their mates and follow a decent side instead? All I can say to those who had to leave again before anything happened is please don't just vent on here. Write to the club and tell them about your experience. Let them know that they dropped the ball and they might have a look at the way they are handling supporter activities and do things better next time. Put it in terms of memberships. A supporter telling them that they had planned on buying four memberships today but left disgusted after the team never showed is a quantifiable loss to the club, and if they get enough people saying it they will listen. -
It's official, Lynch is out fro one week assuming he doesn't appeal. Nice result for us.

It's a fairly even split between people who want to chat about the team they support and children (some well on in years) who want to bignote themselves and snipe at other posters who dare to have a different opinion to them. If you block the trolls it isn't a bad place to have a chat about the team.

I haven't actually seen any indication that he's been charged yet. It's not mentioned on the AFL website and the match report says no reports from that game. Could he have been given the expansion team pass?
-
On the down side, Mitch Clark started poorly for the cats but worked his way into it and kicked a pair in the last quarter. Looks like he'll fit in pretty well once he gets that touch back.
-
Yeah, it was underwhelming, but he'll do better as he settles in and Lake and Gibson come back into the side.

You might as well call them point guards. It's about as relevant. -
He emerged from his hole to take a pot shot at the Bombers.

Dude, you're always ready to take a shot at the guy for making mistakes. How about giving him a little credit when he deserves it? On a night when most of the team went with the "hit and hope" method of passing, he's nailed a pinpoint kick over the top of the defenders and on to Garlett's chest. We all want him to work on his disposal, but when he gets it right you want to call it luck?

GC had a lot of players resting for that game. I wouldn't read too much into it. On the bright side, as you say Lynch shouldn't be playing which will help us slow their scoring. We'll have to choke the game to stop them from killing us with midfield goals.

The other advantage of signing kids to long-term deals. At that age they tend to be pretty dumb and can be taken advantage of more easily.
-
Viney McKenzie Toumpas Why? Because if we get some heavy improvement out of those then they will drag others with them. Better ball-winning and extraction and improved delivery to our marking targets will make a drastic difference to the team as a whole.

If all our players were delisted by another club...

With the records they have right now? I'd take N. Jones, Tyson, Dunn, Tommy and Vince. That's about it. Of the others there are a number with AFL experience who are either too old or just not quite right and there are a bunch with little or no experience on which to judge. -
As I said in the point before that one. I don't blame him for not marking those shitty balls, but he gave us nothing defensively. I was really worried about what we had until he pulled his finger out in the second half.

McKenzie kicked the best F50 pass in the entire game.

Positives: Newton's opening quarter and goal. Vandenberg Frost Held FREMANTLE to a single point in Q3 H looks like being a ripping good recruit The usual suspects did as the usual suspects do. Negatives: We scored a single point in Q2 The same old blind high bomb into the forward 50 Garlett looked lazy and disinterested in the first half The two best passes into the forward 50 came from a first gamer from Canberra and the worst kick in the side. Gawn put his hand up to claim worst kick in the side status. Unsure how Jordie is taking that. The usual suspects did as the usual suspects do.

Looking at the draw and assuming a reasonable run with injuries and a bit of improvement from us plus a couple of teams we can expect to slide, I rated us a while ago as probably finishing 10-12 on the ladder. I'd be pretty happy with that sort of range. Better than that and I would be thrilled, as I think would any Melbourne supporter. At this point though we need to find six teams to finish beneath us. Looking at what we now know, I can see the Saints, Bulldogs, Carlton and probably Essendon. There are a number of maybes as well in teams like GWS, Brisbane, Adelaide, Richmond and even West Coast given their injuries and retirements. If things were to pan out well for us then that range is very possible. I think I'll stick with 10-12 as a pass for the season.

Dank seems utterly convinced that he is the smartest person in the room and has everyone fooled. Sadly for him this is not the case and the vast majority have understood from the beginning that he's full of it. He's like the sociopath they trained wrong as a joke.
