NON-MFC: Round 01
Wouldn't that negate the leg-up they're giving to the favoured teams? 🤣

NON-MFC: Round 01
Interesting game tonight. Very evenly matched teams, but Richmond just seem a tiny bit more rusty. Almost as if Carlton had played an extra match to shake the cobwebs off. 🤔 I wonder if any of the "bye" teams from last week will win (except North vs PA).

2026 MRO & Tribunal
Still don't understand how Kane McAuliffe wasn't cited. A fist behind the ear hard enough to knock him silly, resulting in a serious injury. Surely that's careless, high contact, high/severe impact? That should be 2 matches at least. Edit: More like an elbow rather than a fist. Point still stands.

Make an outlandish prediction for 2026
Jeffo has a breakout year culminating in an AA selection.

2026 Injury List
He was hit from behind. I don't think knees are meant to bend that way.

Farewell Steven May
That is a truly classy farewell message. He was a fantastic player, giving up height against his opponents week after week and beating them with superior bodywork and judgement.

No sign of Mcaulif being looked at by the MRO.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 5th December 2025
I hate this. He's not a forward. They should be pushing him into the middle as a skillful inside mid. That's where he plays his best football. If they stop trying to force him into a role he's not suited to, we might actually see what he can do.

South Yarra kiosk used to do decent food, but it's been a while since I passed through.

NEXT GENERATION ACADEMY: Rule Changes
How does giving Geelong and St Kilda more population compensate North Melbourne?

NEXT GENERATION ACADEMY: Rule Changes
The problem is that any move to fix the broken system will only hurt the clubs that haven't benefited from it. If they came out and said no academy picks in the first round, The Suns and Brisbane would be laughing. They have cashed in and nobody else gets the chance. Of course, the AFL have a history of doing just this, waiting until the "chosen" clubs benefit, then changing the rules to prevent others from doing the same (see Mac Andrew, or Judd's Visy contract).

NEXT GENERATION ACADEMY: Rule Changes
Yep. Three clubs lost territory with nothing in return, being us, Hawks and Dogs. Geelong and St Kilda both got gifted extra territory without giving anything up. Gotta love the AFL's attempts at "fairness."

Welcome to Demonland: Riley Onley
Knowing nothing about him but the clips in this thread, I'm thinking we have a good one here. Pros: Exceptionally clean hands grabbing the loose ball Good below his knees Seems to have good judgement with his kicking Great burst of speed Cons: Dodgy kicking technique Poor handball I saw several kicks from the 50 arc drop short (see dodgy technique) Didn't see a lot of defensive work So, he looks to have the vision, but needs to clean up disposal skills to make use of it, and maybe improve his defensive efforts.

Welcome to Demonland: Thomas Matthews
Is it odd that this is the draftee I'm most excited about? He looks like he could be a genuine match-winner.
