2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen
"Hyperventilating" Wow. Have you taken your meds today? An obvious statement that Kentfield has more credentials than Jefferson and you project "hyperventilating" and "A grade players" Your projection says more about your comprehension skills than any football merit but jog on in any case

Farewell Clayton Oliver
The lunatics have been running the asylum that is Melbourne for a few years now. Looks like they have been called to account and they don't like it. The amount of focus on our 'connection' inside 50 for the past 5 years has been insane and yet our two most prolific mids (plus you can add Viney) can't hit the side of a barn Thats not changing any time soon so I'm glad they are having their feet held to the fire.

A casual observer can see that Kentfield has more fwd credentials than Jefferson.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
He's a massive upgrade on Petty

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
So the compo pick for Spargo was a 4th rounder. Interesting they wanted to not dilute that. It's pretty diluted already. Suggests they need the picks for something else.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Interesting highlights. In nearly every goal he got clear separation from his opponent. In the cases that he led, mostly the ball was kicked in front of him. In the few where there was body contact he uses his solid frame well to outbody his opponent. He kicks well. A little dodgy on his left. This package convinced me (not that I needed convincing) but our kicking onto the forward line is a complete shambles. If King can fix that we have a couple of weapons with Mihocek and JvR. If King and BM can get JvR to stop trying to wrestle his opponent or jump from behind and lead at the ball carrier our fwd line will look good. And get a line coach that can teach JvR some leading patterns and how to lead, double back and generally lose his opponent. It's blindingly obvious after watching this.

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
His contract might run out before the draft pick changes hands!

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Fits with my own view that Clarrie was told in no uncertain terms he has to get fitter and run both ways; he may not get midfield time; and, he has to pull his finger out otherwise he'll be playing in a Casey jumper.

Farewell Christian Petracca
If Flanders is worth pick 7 Tracc is worth 4 first rounders

The List Manager Tim Lamb
May is contracted for 2026. We have simply told him that his opportunities will be limited so IF he wants to extend his career at another club we will help him get there. Its not that hard and the media saying he is being pushed out is creative licence If no one wants him he stays a Dee

Farewell Christian Petracca
We were 18th for scores v d50 entry and defensive one on ones. Frost and OMac were simply not up to it hence we threw the kitchen sin at getting May and Lever. Yes we made a prelim but it wasn't because of our defensive capablities no one wats to relive that final in perth

Humphrey has a contract but if he says he wants to leave how is that different to Petracca?

2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen
I suspect there is a 3rd yr trigger clause. At any rate he will be 34 so he won't be going anywhere else and if he's playing good footy he'll earn a 3rd yr on merit

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
He's got strong hands and knows how to use his body. Positive for our fwd line.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
I suspect the conversation started with "you're not fit enough to run both ways...." I can't imagine a world where King builds a midfield that can't run both ways or hit targets.

We have to spend it so it shoudnt matter What matters is improving our list. If not immediately then quality players that will contribute reasonably quickly like Windsor, Langford and Lindsay

Way more small fwds have dominated GFs - just sayin

THANK YOU FROM DEMONLAND
Well done to the team that keeps this site going. For many its our only play to celebrate, vent or otherwise discuss the club we love. After all is said and done we are all on the same side! Many thanks

Agree. They are underwhelming. Perhaps strangely I have high hopes in Kentfield if we can get him on the park. Jefferson is a bust IMO For mine its the small forwards we need more of. Hardly any big key forwards have kicked bags on GF day. Its the smalls like CCameron and ZBailey that have prevailed. Since 2000 These are the only players that have kicked 3 goals or more and there are hardly any talls/KPFs in there. 2025 GF Dempsey 4, McLuggage 4, Bailey 3, C Cameron 4 2024 GF Ah Chee 4, Lohman 4, L Parker 3 2023 GF C Cameron 3, J Daniher 3, B Hill 4 2022 GF Stengle 4, Hawkins 3, ISmith 3, 2021 GF Fritsch 6, Brown 3, Bontempelli 3, Treloar 3 2020 GF D Martin 4 2019 GF J Reiwoldt 5, D Martin 4 2018 GF De Goey 3, J Kennedy 3 2017 GF J Graham 3 2016 GF Boyd 3, Dixon 3, Picken 3, J Kennedy 3 2015 GF Gunston 4, ISmith 3 2014 GF Franklin 5, Roughead 5, Bruest 2, Langford 3 2013 GF Gunston 4, Pavlich 3 2012 GF Franklin 3 2011 GF TCLoke 3, Krakoer 3, S Johnson4, Bartel 3, Hawkins 3, Varcoe 3 2010 GF Nil 2009 GF Chapman 3 2008 GF Williams 3 2007 GF Mooney 5, Chapman 4, S johnson 4, N Ablett 3 2006 GF Q Lynch 3, M O;Loughlin 3, N Davis 3 2005 GF Nil 2004 GF Wanganeen 4, Akermanis 3, Bradshaw 3, Notting 3 2003 GF Didak 3, Akermanis 5, A Lynch 4 2002 GF A Lynch 4, Rocca 4, J Fraser 3 2001 GF MLloyd 5, Lucas 4, L Power 3 2000 GF Barnard 4, Lloyd 4, Caracella 3, Farmer 3, Powell 3
