  1. WTF? Never heard this and it's not his call in any case. I call bull shite.
  2. Is this the guy with the booming left foot?
  3. Is that 4 in the past 100 years?
  4. Why not? (because we don't give him any........boom tish)
  5. We are not. You are over reaching with that statement. It's simply an acknowledgement that he at this point is a liability and extremely frustrating despite the some of the excellent stuff he does. And frustration with the fact the he tries to do too much when he is not capable of it. FFS he kicked the ball into the man on the mark twice on the weekend. I can see that he is trying to be a leader in that backline and taking the game on and I give him credits for that but when you make the same mistakes and keep taking the wrong options you become a liability.
  6. I have said all along TMac has some excellent attributes (marking and spoiling in particular) but what stops him being an A grade defender is his appalling disposal and decision making. IMO it outweighs everything he does. On at least 4 occasions on the weekend his direct errors either cost goals or killed our transition out of defence. It's undeniable. Jones did none of that and his 'errors' that you speak of are under the most sever of pressure. The modern game is all about contesting and then launching attack from defence. It's why we are desperate for Salem to come good, why we recruited Melksham, why Grimes can't get a game and why Jetta is so important. TMac kills us time after time. There will come a time when we can't afford to have him there.
  7. No I don't. Really you are being petulant with that comment. I looked for everyone's mistakes and their good plays. Its pretty easy with Tom. And many of TMacs errors are under no pressure. he takes the wrong option or fluffs his kicks. On Sunday he kicked twice into the man on the mark. You learn not to do that in the U12s. Do you love TMac so much you ignore his obvious flaws? As for Jones he has 3 B&Fs. I think his record speaks for itself. And nearly all of his possessions are under extreme pressure. If you really believe the comparisons between Jones and TMac are relevant you probably need to study the game more and learn about the different roles.
  8. Number 4...
  9. His grandfather won a gold medal at the Olympics apparently...
  10. You seem to be asking and answering your own question.... A lot of fun that,. You'll find that you'll always get the answer you want....
  11. Dunn kicked a torp in the St Kilda game that didn't come off and the coaching box went nuts.He hasn't played since. Don't expect that anyone else is going to take up the challenge.
  12. If you are advocating bringing back Garland and Michie you really should review your assessment
  13. They don't vote on the other games he has played just in case you were wondering.
  14. So whats the reason for the bump? I just wasted 3 mins of my life.
  15. Oh yeah, how Melbourne can't develop players......
  16. That's not Hunt.
  17. Totally different players. Hunt will never be like Laird.
  18. Yep this.
  19. This was the case on the weekend against the Crows. We had too many that were standing too close to the contest, the ball would come out and the Crows were able to dish it off to runners very easily. In contrast, we were too close and either we gave short handballs to someone under pressure or if we did get it out those same Crow outside runners were able to tackle us creating another contest. I think our tackling has bveen generally good this year.We seem to wait a split second before committing and players are very conscious of where they begin the tackle (ie the height). Always plenty of work to do but the first issue in this post is realtively easy to resolve.
  20. Tracc started the last quarter in the middle and mostly finished the game there from memory. Wasn't doing much else during the game and Roos tried somethnig different.
  21. Watch the last quarter again.
  22. Its not an exaggeration. And I doubt he is instructed to do what he is doing, He would be instructed to look inboard and look for the switch when safe to so, The problem is that his skill errors kill us. I watched him carefully yesterday and tonight on the replay. He'll do some good stuff and then completely stuff it up. Q1 Dawes does a great tackle , kicks back to TMac and he fumbles the ball. T/over to Crows TMac takes great mark from a kick in and then kicks into man on the mark Q2 TMac does a blatant throw on members wing when we are running fwd T/over TMac gets the ball with an open fwd line and kicks into man in the mark Q3 When we lost the game, TMac takes a great intercept mark , turns the ball over goal results I have stopped watching and will resume but this game was not isolated. As I said, He has some great attributes but he has to clean up his brain farts and turnovers. Turnovers and poor composure cost us the game yesterday. We can't go anywhere with payers that continually do that.
  23. At least 3 and often 4 goals result. He will never be a key player unless he can get rid of that. He has brain fades and when he tries to switch play it's heart in mouth stuff.
