  1. Gee it would be great if Hogan's arms were 30cm longer...... doh
  2. What a weird post. Which one game this year that he has played has he not displayed a "we can win any game we play in" mentality?? FFS
  3. The 'expert' judges change most years. Usually media commentators, a couple of AFL officials and an ex-legend or two. Weekly noms are done by the AFL. It's a farce if you ask me.
  4. Adrian Dodoro is the worst list manager by far to deal with. Let's get Hibberd to go the breach of contract route. Will save time and effort rather than dealing with Dodoro
  5. 2 games for 2 wins from Mitch. I'd say his 100% strike rate will keep him in the team
  6. Wouldn't that be nice at Etihad!
  7. I couldn't agree more
  8. It didn't in the first game we played the Saints!
  9. Reiwoldt, Montagna, Steven will be the top 3 players for them. Write it down. Hey, maybe we should try to take them out of the game? What a radical idea.
  10. Pretty much. The award started as the first year player that was likely to be a star. It has morphed into the best first year player award akin to the Brownlow. Players that are nominated in the first few rounds are overwhelmingly represented in the winners list. No one has won it after round 14. Could it happen? Possibly. Will it happen? Highly unlikely. There are really good players that never get nominated and can never win it. Sometimes the AFL conjurs up a weekly win so that certain players can win the overall award. The award is a joke IMO and should go back to its original intention so that all players nominated have a reasonable chance to win. They should have a weekly award and then an overall award that can be won by anyone fitting the age/games criteria.
  11. Just a shame we don't play man on man defence! It's all about the zone and we have to stop the ball coming in there quickly...
  12. Got turned inside out by Ballantine but otherwise a good game. Should have bodied him over the line. A lot of our defenders let players run along the boundary rather than body them over the line. I have seen Wagner and OMac do it, even TMac. I wish they would be unsociable and crunch them over the line whenever possible. It has cost us a few goals this year..
  13. I think it is announced Tuesday....
  14. errr,,,, its round 16. No one has won it this late as per my original post I think ony 3 have won after round 9, Kozitske (14), Cousins (12) and Talia (12).
  15. The Rising Star winner has already been nominated..... You can't win if you get nominated this late. It's what makes the award a joke.
  16. Melksham and Salem will improve this...
  17. Controlled the game well. Poor kicking for goal stopped it being a bigger win.
  18. Kent played well but I want to see him play good games when the team gets beaten. He goes missing badly in our losses.
  19. Win the contest and stop them switching play and we go a long way to beating them.
  20. Godders would be a bit slow now I think...
  21. What a debacle last time was. They had 14 or 15 uncontested marks in their fwd 50m. Our backs were clueless as to how to deal with the ball coming in so quickly. We were smashed around the contest and the switch of play.
  22. What he did repeatedly last night was run and spread to create options. That cannot be underestimated given what we have had top put up with for many years. And he defended well when he had to. It's exactly what we need from him. Well done Jack. Congrats on reaching 100 games.
  23. Great game last night. Hardly put a foot wrong and took mostly the first option. Exactly waht people here have been crying out for.
  24. Not quite true.. He can play if we make finals.
  25. No wires crossed from me. It's Roos' call whether we delist Grimes but its not his call that Grimes retires. As for Roos being adamant the Grime will retire, that is carp.
