But that'll be racist......oh hang on....

So will they get Jobe Watson to present the Brownlow?

Serious amount of guessing circumstances and extrapolating opinion in this thread. Best you all leave it alone and if something comes to light so be it.

There are several issues starting with players behind the centre square. You rely on players running and providing handball options to carry the ball forward. Because kicking the ball fwd sees you outnumbered - in some cases by 6 to 2. We did that a lot though. It was frustrating in the extreme. It was bad in the Swans game but the players were buggered and couldn't keep up with the running. It is a very taxing style of play and relies on players being composed with the ball, spreading and running in waves. It was hot in Darwin and we fell down in that area. It was no coincidence that in the Sydney game when we started with a 6, 6, 6 structure in the final quarter we played better and stopped Sydney rebounding the ball out of defence. We never really did that against Adelaide and their defence waltzed the ball out all night with ease. This coupled with some unbelievably bad fumbles, turnovers and dropped marks meamt we were chasing our tails all night. Despite that , when Hunt kicked his monster barrel after the 3/4 siren I thought we were still in with a shot. Only 22pts down. Alas it was not to be.

Kent was sitting inside the cool room. I am sure he was given the appropriate care and attention. Yes it looked odd and he would have been devastated realising that his footy dream might be in jeopardy.

4 goals in time on in the first qtr and a few junk goals in the last. We were surprisingly in touch most of the night despite their easy transition goals and more frustratingly our own mistakes. Can't tally the number of dropped marks and fumbles at critical times. Adelaide don't scare me as a side. They might win a home final but won't likely win the flag.

The umps can pay it if they want. They chose not to.

Not eligible for GOTY because it wasn't voted as the weekend winner by the public.

65m to 70m out. Went through at half post high Wrong side for a right footer and degree of difficulty was off the charts After the siren (shame it wasn't to win the game) at a critical time Had we won the game that would have been the goal at which we turned the tide Beats those little dribblers around the corner Many have tried to do a torpedo punt (to give it the correct name) for a long bomb goal and very few succeed. Mostly they are from in front of goal. Best barrel since Malcolm Blight Easily goal of the year.

What's with tha [censored] umpire who pinged Harmes for deliberate when he got pushed over the boundary line? Worst decision of the month to date.

Too many passengers dropping marks and fumbling the ball. They were so much cleaner, particularly around the stoppages. We couldn't keep our feet and went to ground in around 75% of contests. We didn't run and I lost count of the times we bombed it to our fwd line with 1 on 3. Dumb football. OMac was again a liability, He simply has no urgency or hunger to get to the ball or kill it. Gets outbodied way too easily. Kent was useless and won't be missed. Trade bait. Frost had a mare, Pederson did very little, Max was outclassed again, Bernie and Lewis have dropped way off the pace, Harmes was unsighted, Hogan is fast becoming very frustrating and Garlett is back to his old ways of getting too tricky and forgetting fundamental footy. ANB was poor, Smith tried but was very fumbly and Hannan showed glimpses. A dirty night and surprised we we even close at 3/4 time. Highlight ofthe might was Jayden's 65m barrel for a goal after the 3/4 time siren. Thought that would be the catalyst for a revival. We could have stolen this one but in the end we copped a percentage pasting. I'm going to bed.

So having now read and listened to a variety of comment on this it seems the AFL has been hoist on its own sanctimonious petard again. Infidelity is in many work places around the country. Its generally not an issue unless there is a power imbalance in the relationship. ie Snr manager and underling. And where the underling is subsequently disadvantaged when the relationship turns sour. There has been no suggestion that this is the case here. But what about the women who knowingly hook up with a married senior colleague because they think it might further their own career? Where is the responsibility or accountability from them? Gill has positioned the AFL as a holier than thou social leader on respect for women, drugs, indiginous people, gay marriage, climate change, racial vilification etc etc. Not saying any of those causes are wrong but its a fair question to ask whether the AFL should meddle in some of these social issues. IN this case the AFL appears to have been caught up in its general 'respect for women' stance yet the reality of the liaison may be somewhat murkier. We don't know what evidence there is that the women involved have not been respected or have had their careers damaged by a power imbalance etc. There has been no suggestion of any such thing. But to me it seems murky that the AFL knew on 3 June that there were whispers of infidelity and/or inapproriate yet claim they only 'found out' when it was in the Herald Sun on Monday this week. It's hard to take that claim on face value and like so many 'causes' the AFL tries to champion they botch it up because they perhaps aren't genuine about the issues but rather more interested in the optics. Gill also looks to me like the classic lawyer who wanted to be leader but doesn't have the skillset or vision to lead his organisation. He keeps fumbling the ball on issues that spring up unexpectedly.

I don't doubt they do it but there is no rule as far as I can tell

You don't work in the corporate world do ya Smokie?

Why has my OP been edited? Nothing in there that wasn't in the published articles? Demonland censor strikes again....

Are you sure about that? Because I'm not. Certainly isn't the case with male teachers and female students vs female teachers and make students. There are a lot of double standards with this sort of thing.... Channel 7 didn't sack Tim Horner Worner for his affair with Amber Harrison

They wouldn't pick him as an emergency on that basis. Rather play a younger guy.

Simon Lethlean and Richard Simkiss have resigned amid allegations of misconduct and affairs. Two senior AFL officials resign after emergency meeting. AFL press conference days after affair claim

It was the knee jerk reaction to Freo resting 11 players for their final game before finals.
