  1. When TMac kicked the matchwinning goal he was immediately pointing to everyone to get back in defence. He has led from the front in recent weeks and deserves the interim title.
  2. Quality post
  3. Haven't seen anywhere where Mills has a broken jaw. Nor have I seen anything about Zak Jones head high hit on Hannan
  4. Thoughtful well argued post. I would say though that this sentence is off the mark. Mills clearly had a go at Bugg and Bugg retaliated. Not an excuse but its way different to your 'girl wearing a short skirt' scenario
  5. This thread is disgusting. Bugg deserves to go for a decent holiday but he deserves our support. Bugg's actions were wrong but they were not deliberate. Mills clearly went to bump Bugg and he threw a fist out. Dumb. Even dumber was that it connected flush with Mills cheek. The way some on here are talking is that Bugg lined him up and deliberately tried to knock the guy out. There is a clear cohort here that don't like Bugg as a player and seek to equate his actions with someone that deliverately went out to smash Mills out of the game. They want him booted out of our football club. What a joke that and the people suggesting that is are frankly pathetic. They are confusing his actions as a general niggler on the field with being a thug of the highest order. They seem to dislike Bugg because he has personality and is seen as a 'mouth'. That is wrong on many levels. The incident should be looked at as an isolated event. Bugg clearly doesn't get the 'good bloke' discount that Houli 'got'. I wonder why? Nor the sympathy in the media despite the fact that Houli looked at Jed Lamb first and then knocked him out. Bugg will serve his time but the pack of hyenas in the media and even on this site are a poor reflection of bias of the highest order. Bugg is 24yo FFS. He made a big mistake. Sadly the MRP will bow to that media noise and Bugg is likely to get a worse outcome than Houli. Houli will no doubt be knighted for servies to football by the media and Waleed Aly while Bugg will be thrown to the wolves.
  6. Jetta was by far our best under trying circumstances.
  7. We played poorly and were tired but: The umpiring was a disgrace and the Swans got away all night with dropping the ball out of tackles with no penalty. Some absolute howlers. Shocking decision against Melksham on the wing. A one on one contest and he gets pinged for shepherding. FMD. Disgraceful decision. Buddy can do a 720 degree turn with a demon hanging on - play on. Another one Lewis got pinged for a trip. Despite all that garbage had Harmes kicked the goal at the start of the 3rd quarter we were well in the game. Sure the Swans kicked poorly but I have seen too much of Harmes doing that stuff at critical times. As for Wagner I have never been a fan. His kicking is bad and he tirns it over way too often. Not enough smarts in his game. White was just diabolical. Turned it over with his first four kicks from memory. I know he would have been nervous but as a prevous poster had said everything that was said about Strauss has been said about White and the result looks the same. No inkling of a 'lethal' left foot and really poor decision making. Finally the coaching. I reckon they have done a great job this year but last night theyh were really poor. The Hunt fwd experiment didn't work. Parker and Jones ran rampant. McVeigh slotted straight back in and controlled the backline. The number of marks in their fwd 50 was embarrasing. For 3 quarters they started with 3 extra players in defence and had them running through the mddle as we have done many times this year. It clearly wasn't working and as the commentators on MMM said, it is exhausting to do that all night. On a 6 day break back from Perth the players were cooked. When we went with a 6,6,6 set up in the last we actually looked better. All in all. A poor night but with some valid excuses and it hasn't derailed a reasonable season. How we bounce back is the key to where we go this year.
  8. There are a lot of pathetic posts in relation to Bugg. He is one of our players. He gives his all. He tries to play on the edge and last night he crossed the line. It was a bad mistake no question. He will pay for it. Not the least because, unlike Houli, everyone is happy to pot him. He clearly doesn't get the 'good bloke' discount. The commentary last night was disgraceful. They were happy to let their lickass friend Buddy get away with a hip to Hannan's head but they stuck the proverbial boots into Bugg. I support Buggy because he is one of ours. You should too.
  9. Harmes has let us down a lot with his set shots. That goal would have changed the dynamic completely.
  10. Could have easily been. They had 8 i50s and 6 points on the board before we had an i50.
  11. Interesting comments on MMM Said that Goodwin's tactic of starting 3 extra players in defence and running through the middle is very taxing and we simply couldn't get moving all night. Particularly ofter 3 games on a 6 day break. We were out on our legs. When we did get it we kicked to a fwd line composed of 3,4 and 5 on 1 all night. When we played 6, 6 and 6 in the last 1/4 we were much more competitive and we had to run less.
  12. Good summary. Can't believe White gets a game with skills like that. Turned over his first 5 kicks.
  13. Interesting comment this. No-one say anything when we played all right footers in our back 6...
  14. Clearly the coaches are of the view that Kent cant provide it at present. Reports are that he has been sent back to work on pressure and goal kicking. Time will tell. Has the talent.
  15. I'm really disturbed that you like Hall and Oates
  16. That doesn't really happen, the media are camped outside of Olympic Park Sports Medicine and would know. Goody has also shown that he doesn't play games re selection etc.
  17. I think Jones' quad was done in the incident where he smothered Lin Jong and his leg collided with Jong's knee. He tried playing out the game and came off late. No idea if thats correct but watched him closely after that collision and he was sore.
  18. Last day in September will tell all.
  19. If they were going to target anybody it should be Hibberd.
  20. Its all about the strategy which will be revealed tomorrow. Hunt fwd sounds the most likely and White apparently has a terrific left boot.
  21. Hoping that you learn to spell Weideman....
  22. White was supposed to have the booming left foot wasn't he? Am I thinking the same guy?
  23. Couldn't for the life of me wonder why.
  24. I remember Daniher on the couch before the 2000 GF giggling like a school girl while Sheedy was all business and focused. I knew then we would get smashed. And in the rooms beforehand the bombers were smashing each other at boxing whereas we were all backslapping each other. I daresay it would be different today Daniher used to say that you have to enjoy the journey but it was clear we were happy just to get to the GF.
