  1. A joy to read Thx team
  2. 6 quarters wouldn't be quite right would it?
  3. To think if we had have taken Wines instead of Toumpas we may not have ended up with Clarry or trac We would have had two great players in Viney and Wines but quite similar in many ways.
  4. Its like many things AFL They bend rules to suit...
  5. You are allowed to use your hands to hold your position - you can't push. BBs was textbook. The Dog player was backing into him. JJ is allowed to have his hands in the back to take that mark. Had he not taken the mark it would have been a free,This rule interpretation has been in place for a long time and encourages 'high marking' - a hallmark of our great game. Think last year when Weightman used his hands to climb Max like a stepladder - because he took the mark it was fine.
  6. You clearly missed the irony and the laughing emoji. I was referring to LJ beating Max who Champion data don't regard as elite...
  7. Yeah but he s not elite 🤣
  8. shame Oscar's not on the list still....
  9. Champion Data doing massive brand damage to themselves.
  10. Basically said Ratten had marked his card. Stress of trying to change that perception wore him down.
  11. I see the attraction of Joel Smith with his athleticism & flexibility but his weaknesses were on display against Brisbane with under-developed footy nous. Too often allowed his opponent to get goalside, and flew at the ball without impacting on a few occasions. Compare that to say Bowey who has lesser physical attributes but much better footy nous.
  12. We beat Geelong 3 times last year. Suffer in your jocks Scott
  13. Board members from CGC were spotted at The National recently Watch this space..
  14. Not sure. Probably. Good sporting pedigree, Uncle is Andy Moir who played for the Dees, his grandfather ran at the olymics and his Mum is a sports teacher.
  15. Hunt is the best golfer (around 3/4 hcp) , I have played with him and he hits it a mile. Used the Qld hub at twin waters to full effect and Joondalup!
  16. When does the footy start again?
  17. Dan Andrews had 220 elm trees cut down in ST Kilda Road to build his new train station. Not a peep from the hypocrite greenies or inner city activists. Pretty sure there would be total outrage if a different flavoured government was in power....
  18. Irrelevant for Trac and Clayton. Their possies are under tremendous pressure. Clangers in the back line are the worst kind of problem. Think Frost....
  19. People forget that 2016 was the first year of the bye before the finals. The dogs were battered but got a rest while the teams in the top 2 were beaten from memory.
  20. None of our premiership players have retired or moved. Im told it hasnt happened before but find it hard to believe
  21. Someone told me Melbourne is the first side to go into the next season with every premiership player still available Anyone know if this is right?
  22. Yes I am sure they would rather win in rd 1 than their 3rd flag in history!

The pressure on this kid from day 1 was immense. I have it on good authority that his social media feed was constantly full of girls throwing themselves at him (in the most graphic of ways), blokes doing the same, girls turning up at his house, unbelievable amounts of vitriol thrown at him etc. The lot. I don't know whether this caused an issue or whether it exacerbated a pre-existing issue but the pressure on young men generally at age 16-20 that are trying to pursue their dream of an AFL career is something that very few of us would comprehend. Clubs try to guide them but with the intense demands and regimen of AFL they are cut off from their former lives in so many ways that its such a critical medium for young people to connect. Easy to say "just turn it off" but its way harder than that. They can't go for a beer or a walk without some kind of attention. And the attention today is relentless. I wish him well
  24. Said with such authority, And so wrong
