  1. Quote of year for mine...I'd suggest Greyhound Bus with a continual loop of first quarter playing on VHS. Bailey can drive which would give him plenty of thinking time around where / or in who's office / loungeroom will Schwaby and Jimma deliver the inevitable news.
  2. I remeber watching that last week and thinking that didn't look good. I think he was trying to be too cute with one of his taps to space then he seizes on the ball etc - look great when it comes off, looks horrible when it doesn't and we pay dearly for it.
  3. Totally agree re Maric. Tough call if he gets dropped. Hard to get into a game when who knows what the game-plan is and has been, plus ball supply limited. he was no better or worse than 21 of his team-mates. For what its worth I would drop Jones, Jetta & Watts. Re Watts - no sense of urgency when it matteres. Actually looks like is aerobic ability needs work...second and third kamikaze efforts don't exist with this bloke. Concerned he doesn't have the nuts required to will himself to places he's afraid to go - both mentally and physically.
  4. I second that. And the old rah, rah let's try harder trick not going to cut it. I think the guys were trying Sunday, just game plan, just game plan a miss.
  5. I saw a team on Friday night who has a second year coach and list 25% worse than ours (based on when they decided to rebuild post Wallace era) who pushed last year's runners-up by pure heart, passion and dare. MFC don't and have never had this under Bailey. The bloke can't coach...full stop!
  6. Massive liability...one paced, poor skills by foot...is he contracted beyond this year?
  7. Like the concept...you own the IP / Copyright on the logo? Have a feeling Nike or Air Jordan reps will be calling you once the AJ T is officially out of the bottle. Will be interesting to follow.
  8. Will struggle to get into our best 22 next year if everyone is purring...big 12 months ahead...
  9. Most courageous decision I have seen Cam make. Handy at best. Apparently Gold Coast made a huge play this time last year and the $ finally got him over the line it seems. Positive is that MFC culture has changed. Bravo.
  10. Rumor has it that part of Robbo's live set is Skyhook's 'Ego is not a dirty word'...was a periphery player at best. Never rated him.
  11. Translation...? too cryptic for me...
  12. Me and you both. Was in the stand with beer in hand right behind the ball's trajectory. A little bit of inexperience, but that will come. Like how he can kick both feet fluently and has an IQ for the game. Not sure how we got onto to Scully in this thread but he's a jet and kicking under the pump ala Lenny Hayes sometimes reduces one's efficiency.
  13. Easy champ...never said TJ wasn't too blame also if you had read my quote. Just think alot of ego's were let run free and that cost us. Look at Geelong...once blokes pulled their heads in success came.
  14. Hit the nail on the head. Leadership & Culture didn't do Trav any favors, but in saying that, strength of character not a strong suit. Had it too easy and his bad behavior was rewarded by Daniher and co. He'll become a legend of suburban footy and love every minute and beer along the way. If its the end, he's been a pleasure / frustration to watch.
  15. Remember sitting and watching this at the game and thinking our football club will never win anything while we have blokes who are more frightened of their shadows on the list and not prepared to defend their team-mates...what was McDonald thinking just after Simmonds got nailed...looks like he is asking Long if he wants a cup of tea...too many blokes who lacked the inner pit-bull....shame really.
  16. Is it just me or does Chip Frawley look a bit like a young Chopper Reid...
  17. Agree...Rivers appears to have the propensity to play the victim on occasions. In saying that, being at the game today, our structure was not up to standard. I actually think this started at selection table.
  18. Liking this guy the more I see him play...saw him live against the pies and disposal on non-preferred is elite...actually reminded me of watching Brent Heaver in the early 90's wearing the number 54 for the red blue...Looking forward to seeing him in a lower jumper next year...maybe he can replicate the Ox and go from 44 to 5...
  19. Totally agree...saw it live and could not believe it.
  20. Bailey took the job knowing what he was in for. He backed himself and thus sold the club on being able to make the above players better plus developing draftees for long-term. Club knew players who were drafted in Bailey's first 3 years would not impact bigger picture like above names. Bailey talked the talk...now he needs to get the above names playing for him, otherwise he will be another coach on the scrapheap who backed the wrong donkeys...see D Frawley & T Wallace as examples.
  21. Play Rivers forward. Miller unlucky in the company of Dunn. I shake my head re Newton.
  22. Surely previous quote wasn't that convoluted...apparently one of the first questions Ball's management asked MFC was regarding Casey scenario and MFC's future plans to develop city based training facility...word is we have invested in a white elephant (Casey alignment) from a players perspective - direct quote from a Player Manager. Early signs were from Brock McLean's reluctance to buy-in to Casey logistically, but now the whispers are becoming deafening that players see a training facility 1 hour plus from home ground as unworkable...
  23. Saw a number of Scorpion games and this bloke didn't have much of a game, let alone if he brought what little he has to AFL level he would be productive. Looks as though he skips when he runs...too much rolling shoulder for my liking. Bush footy stardom awaits the great man.
