  1. Haha I loved the treatment that Bock got from the crowd. I joined in.
  2. I think Bate needs a week off. Drop Bate and Newton and bring Robbo and Maric in.
  3. Adelaide were shocking, and did little to get over the line, apart from playing keepings off and relying on Melbourne's mistakes. They, like us, didn't have much of a forward structure for the game hence the 34-51 score. All they had were two players in their first and second years in Walker and Tippett. McLeod's influence was minimal as was Tyson Edward's. As for Adelaide's supporters, well what can I say? At the end of the game (if anyone bothered staying apart from me) they ran around like they had won the premiership, with all there filthy supporters lining the fences while the players did a lap of honour around the ground. This is ridiculos. They were lucky to win the game by only kicking seven goals, and they go around like it's there greatest win ever. Adelaide aren't travelling too well at the moment, and are lucky to be 3-2.
  4. If you're not naming anyone then what is the relevance of this thread????!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. 6- Moloney 5- Davey 4- McLean 3- Frawley 2- Bruce 1- McDonald
  6. I thought McDonald did enough, but he didn't play a poor game.
  7. 14,129. For less than half our members to turn up was a bad effort. At least there weren't many spare seats in the President's/Trident members area, which was good. I don't know how many Melbourne supporters are AFL members, but AFL Members had a shocking turnout especially. I don't mind the Sunday Twilight time slot because I find it interesting to play at another time other than 2:10 for a change. But twilight games are only good maybe once a year, just for a change, but unfortunatley we have it again in Round 9 against Hawthorn.
  8. Our backline is clearly the best asset to our team. Frawley and Warnock have taken massive steps from last year and they both have gone from uncertainties in the team to players who are always in the starting 18. Clearly, our forward line let us down and the awaited debut of Jack Watts and awaited returns of Robbo and Wonaeamirri loom ahead.
  9. Newton was terrible! It was one of the worst individual performances that a player can have. He dropped about 10 marks and took one. Why on earth did he do a bannana? The thing was that he didn't ever look like kicking that goal. But Newton still is a character, even though he will get dropped next week. It will be hillarious if he does'nt though.
  10. We've progressed so well in a day in our membership numbers. 30,000 by tomorrow or Sunday hopefully.
  11. I'm going over to Canberra for this game, it'll be the first time I've ever seen the Demons outside of Victoria.
  12. I think Bartram can get back into form, but if he has another couple of average games, the obvious replacement for him in the team is Cheney.
  13. I hope Robbo plays. His addition to the emergency list is obviously a suspicious one, so I hope he comes in. There is nothing better than seeing Robbo play.
  14. We have already seen both players (wona and Maric) moving up the ground last season so the rotating crumbing forward already exists in both of them. Geelong are an example as well, they have a number of players who are small crumbing forward but can play well in the midfield.
  15. I agree, but we don't want to end up with too much crumbing forwards, and the new Davey role has been an example of that.
  16. I can't wait till Buckley and Wonaeamirri come back. There the two players I am most looking forward to returning.
  17. The thing that questions me about Maric is what role he plays. Is he a small forward or more of a midfielder? I think I saw all 5 games he played last year, but I haven't seen any of him outside of that. In Essendon V Melbourne last year I thought he looked comfortable up forward.
  18. It's a very tough interchange to choose from. 3 Definites are Johnson, Moloney and Bennell. I want Maric to play, but I have a feeling he'll sit out for another week. I thought Dunn showed a bit last week, so i'd be disappointed if he got dropped as well. Bennell should definitley play, but I have a feeling he's less likely than PJ or Moloney.
  19. All the MCG seating is letters M=Lvl 1, N=Lvl 2, P=Lvl 2A Q=Lvl 3. Yeah it's at the Dome where there is Lvl 1 Section 21 or something like that. Anyway I think that's a good idea for smaller games for Melbourne members, rather than sitting in General admission if they don't have a reserved seat. I think Hawthorn members have some reserved thing there.
  20. When did Bell break his thumb? They still don't know when Wonaeamirri will be back, hope it's only 2 weeks or something. But Yze_Magic has a point, I don't think Bell has a spot in the team anymore.
  21. Was there fighting on the top level ponsford stand? I think what happened with the security last Sunday is that they were all at the Punt Rd end, between the Richmond Cheer Squad and the Grog squad, where they need high numbers.
  22. What's the Nth Gnd Reserve??? As in Olympic Stand lvl 1? I have an N49 Reserved seat for home games, Level 2 Olympic stand. Best spot to sit.
  23. I don't think the wet weather terminology exists for the Demons (about the game being more even)I personally think that the Demons play better in dry weather, because from memory 3 games last year when it was raining during/before the game we got beaten badly. Melbourne V Richmond Round 22 lost by 80 Melbourne V Geelong Round 19 lost by 116 Melbourne V Western Bulldogs Round 2 lost by 95
