I agree. Reduced crowds because of bad weather happens too often. It might be reality, but I don't think it will happen this time. As for all these 16,000-18,000 estimates, it takes bad form to get those sorts of crowds, not weather.

I would much rather win 5-6 games than win 4. Firstly, winning is what you do in footy, you don't try to lose. It is also another 1-2 weeks that Melbourne supporters come home from the game happy, and supporters are excited. I don't think that Scully and Butcher would make me happy opposed to winning. I still belive that we can win 8 games or more, and have a good season in whole.

No way. Davey has taken a step forward this year, not to mention he has been arguably our best player in all our four games. His 2008 season was slightly interrupted and a bit out of form but now he is right back in the thick of it.

I agree. I wish we still had the Anzac round fixture of Sydney V Melbourne. Us and Sydney have a 3 year deal for games to be at Manuka, obviously the last is this year, so it might return next year. I would also like to see Melbourne V Sydney at the MCG next year.

I don't think the weather will stop our supporters coming. Yes, I think I heard somewhere that it's 14 degrees on Sunday, but still expect a good turn out. we only get 18,000 to games if we are struggling at our very worst. As I said, no way less than 20,000. Last time we played Adelaide at the MCG was when we were 0-9 in 2007. 23,657 came.

This is an issue that the MCG has had for a couple of years now. Especially since it was a great victory from the Demons. And they make so much effort to turn the sound off for the YELLOW AND BLACK when the tigers ran out. As for the trumpet man, I think he strangely only comes out at home games (well I think he does any way.)

Newton should stay in the team for about 3 games, and then when the main personel came back like Robbo, but the injury of Green may give him an opporunity. If he does similar performances of the one that he did today he will be up for selection for the rest of the season.
