NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
It caused a chuckle at ours.

CASEY: Rd 03 vs Williamstown
I noticed that and was in fear that the defender and ruckman might try to prove how important they are by doing what was done to Brown's namesake last week by the Essendon thug.

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
If I wasn't swearing, the umpiring would have left me speechless. Hawkins only one of many. While on the subject of Hawkins, I find his style of play very boring. A big bloke pushes/pulls his opponent out of the way and takes an easy mark and kicks a goal. Yawn. Compare that to rapid chain of passes & handballs and a quick snap at goal or a flying pack mark.

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Port Adelaide
Hear hear (or is it Here Here). Noticed that for the post match interviews too. God knows why it took them so long to make these interviews intelligible, but grateful they've done it.

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
umm,, perhaps because noone has said that . Your clear implication was that vaccines are pointless. The data shows that's wrong. It was a vain hope that posting it would have any effect on your views, so I will desist from further replies and stay on topic. So, I was vaguely hoping for a draw between Hawthorn and Carlton. But I wondered if late in the season I'd regret having at least 2 teams on points not divisable by 4. Impossible to say at this stage I guess (and it didn't happen on the weekend). But historically, have those 2 odd points ever caused grief or otherwise to us in our final ladder position?

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
Since you were off topic, I'll risk doing the same in the hope you can be influenced by actual data rather than whatever is behind your comments. Have a look at this as a random example I found first up: https://aci.health.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/698388/20220104-COVID-19-Monitor.pdf The data clearly shows that if you are unvaccinated you have a far far higher chance of being seriously ill, in hospital or in ICU. Of course they could be lying to protect something or other. Or just maybe ....

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Did the AFL do anything after the 2000 GF?

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Suddenly BT seems good

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Essendon
Are these the usual commentators? Usually they are relatively good but not great today.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Agree. Flukes from the boundary, even under pressure are no match for a player zig zagging around multiple opponents and goaling under pressure even if dead in front.

Tassie…. Devils?
It's not so long ago that if the AFL announced a Tassie team with the nickname Devils we'd assume MFC was being relocated to Tasmania.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I'd agree more wholeheartedly if he had a chance to work himself into form in the VFL first.
-
POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Gold Coast
I'd rather hear the umps than the commentators. Though I agree with others that the umps should do less 'coaching',

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
Since security was clearly going to be inadequate some Swans players should have got boundary side of him before he kicked it. Given the lead it wouldn’t matter if somehow that led to a Geelong goal after a mis kick or kickin.

NON-MFC: Round 1, 2022
What's with these 50m penalties? Geelong player marks ball, Essendon player runs up towards the mark, looks at umpire and obviously gets the impression he went a yard too far so backs off and is pinged for not standing. Not even clear if the umpire said stand. Not sure it should be a penalty, let alone 50m.

NON-MFC: Round 1, 2022
When are you allowed to run back a few metres rather than “stand”. I’m confused.

2022 Injury List
Generally I agree., But in the GF he did choose to bump Oliver and hit him in the head. Should have been reported, but no surprise he wasn't...AFL.

Bevo unleashes on Tom Morris
Obviously this is pointless given what you said, but I don't think I've ever made such comments even decades ago, neither racist or misogynist. I'm not looking for brownie points or virtue signalling and I expect I'll get some flack for having the audacity of saying what a paragon of virtue I am. But I take that risk because I want to make the following general point. People with certain backgrounds know what it is like to be subject to nasty comments and what it can lead to. Some of them (sadly not all) therefore try hard to "not do unto others as others did unto you" and so do not make racist comments etc. Those belonging to the majority in power group (wherever it is), who have never been in such a position and who lack empathy, often just don't realise what's it like to be on the receiving end and dismiss such remarks as inconsequential and downplay it in various ways. I am sometimes nasty enough to hope they will one day know what it's like to be on the receiving end. (See I'm not so virtuous.) I make no comment about the current case because I haven't seen/heard the evidence.

2022 Injury List
that's a bit depressing.

NON-MFC: Round 1, 2022
50 metre penalties are ruining the game

Bevo unleashes on Tom Morris
So you have to wonder who has been sitting on this horrid audio of Morris and decided to leak it today presumable to take the heat off Bevo. Presumably a mate of Bevio or the Dogs.

2022 Free Kick Differential
The Langdon deliberate one was totally wrong. As was the facile TV commentator who said to ensure he wasn't pinged he should have turned towards the dog player rather than running outside the line. But it seemed to me Langdon ran outside the line with the intention of taking the ball past the Dog player. Pinged for trying to make a play rather than taking the easy option. Terrible decision.

MOMENTUM: A 2021 Grand Final Story
which proves? I'd rather depend on my eyes than what a noted self-effacing humourist says.

MOMENTUM: A 2021 Grand Final Story
Just watched it again in normal speed and in slo-mo. Looks like we will have to agree to differ. To add: I'm not saying it was the most nasty dumping of a player, just that the basic responsibility for Gawn hitting his head was due to the small bloke.

MOMENTUM: A 2021 Grand Final Story
Sorry, you can't bounce your head like that deliberately. So I assume you are saying because he overplayed the preceding actions he lost control and it was entirely his fault his head bounced? I find that hard ot believe,
