  1. Is anyone running a book on how Melbourne's injury list will look when it's published on Tuesday evening? I'm thinking of taking a wager on: .Naturally, this will stretch out by another week or so in the fullness of time.
  2. I was there at the time the Ox got that information. The Scully family member was in fact the family dog who was asked to bark once if he's staying and twice if he's going to GWS. Bloody Schwarta was standing on the mutt's tail and it went berserk.
  3. I know the Dockers have injury issues but they did not look like a final eight side to me yesterday.
  4. Ted, nobody in my street is a Demon fan as far as I'm aware. My MFC supporter mates wouldn't have a clue. Nobody at work gives a stuff about Scully. I don't know a single soul on the club board. I don't listen to Theo X or Eddie McChins on the radio. I am not acquainted with any second cousin twice removed of Scully's maiden aunt. I admit I once saw Sandra Sully shopping in the city but I believe she's not related. I have no inside information whatsoever but I do reckon he'll stay here. In fact, I'm 98% sure of that. OK?

    CHAOS

I think Biffinator has pointed out that most coaches, if they are not achieving success, pass their use by date at a certain point after four or five years. Perhaps Daniher should have gone after 2003. If not then by at least the end of 2005. The incumbent really doesn't have long to prove himself and we really need to perform with some consistency over the next month or so. It's no longer enough to ask which Melbourne is turning up on a given day or to excuse them because of youth. We need to perform every week.
  6. Either that or come back in an hour's time and we'll discuss it then.
  7. Serious question. Does anyone know if My Friend the Chocolate Cake recorded their version of It's a Grand Old Flag?
  8. Collingwood at Casey Fields in June. Would that be the furthest from the centre of the CBD that the Magpies have travelled so far in 2011?
  9. There are two or three other shows on a Thursday night that are superior in quality including the Marngrook Footy Show but TFS still outrates them easily. I suppose that's a reflection on the audience more than the quality of programming but I suspect TFS still has a reasonable shelf life. I occasionally watch it myself but only later via Foxtel IQ when I can fast forward and watch what interests me. It's usually a 10-15 minute view.
  10. Last time I watched TFS I could barely understand a word that was being said. Do they provide subtitles?
  11. There really is a Dick at Collingwood isn't there?
  12. Correct. You have to eliminate pork from the diet to make it kosher.
  13. Not according to the Match Review Panel which has set Clint Bartram free:- "Contact between Melbourne's Clint Bartram and St Kilda's Nick Winmar from the fourth quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The panel said Winmar had taken possession of the ball and was moving quickly toward the boundary when Bartram tackled the St Kilda player. The Melbourne player takes Winmar to the ground with the momentum of his tackle in a continuous motion. It was the view of the panel that the force used was not unreasonable in the circumstances. Winmar was not slung to the ground with excessive force. No further action was taken."
  14. of course, they could have said "g'day" to each other a second earlier ... or the picture was hand picked to convey a certain message because, well ... newspaper sales thrive on controversy even when its confected.
  15. IMO it looked much worse because the aggressor was wearing red and blue. If he was wearing a Collingwood jumper it would have been "play on".
  16. Ed Curnow of Carlton will be sidelined for a month as a result of a shoulder injury incurred after he was tackled by a St. Kilda player on Monday night. The fact that it was the shoulder absolves the tackler of any guilt. Yet Patrick Dangerfield's "concussion" has magically been repaired and he's playing this weekend. Truth is stranger than fiction?
  17. Watched it on tv and was mightily impressed with the form of the two rookies in the midfield, Evans and Nicholson. Both have a good turn of speed and make some good decisions when they have the ball. Really good prospects.
  18. 100% behind the coach. Now where have I heard that before?
  19. Danners and Nathan Carroll, Benny Holland and the Ferg. All is forgiven.
  20. That's not news. Everybody knows that a diagnosis of three weeks on the MFC injury list actually means 6 to 8 weeks or more. Just look at Robert Campbell. A month ago he was only a couple of weeks away from playing and now he's 6 to 8. At that rate he'll be 10 weeks away by the time we get to the bye. Who's the phantom injury this week?
  21. Thank you. I stand corrected but Vegas is no more than an hour's flight from LA. What's to stop a gambling addict from jumping on a plane and heading there to indulge himself until the money runs out?
  22. One assumes Fevola is still on vacation in Los Vegas?
