  1. What May said is brutal but in my view not something a reasonably well adjusted adult and father should consider punchworthy. Particularly when that somebody is supposedly a close mate. Bizarre and I suspect more to it than just that sledge. Hope I am wrong and for now will assume I am.
  2. Great video, enjoyed watching that immensely. I remember DC bursting onto the scene and then fizzing out pretty quickly but I am too young to recall any details. Why is it that he didn't last and go on to have a lengthy career? Also, how good was the barrell from big Darren B, an NFL audition piece right there.
  3. Starts in the backline most bounces
  4. That is a bizarre tweet from sayers. Quizzical human from the limited amount I've seen. That said I also the blues have got some potential to rise. Walsh, McKay & weitering are outstanding. Need a better game plan and some pace through the middle will be competitive week in week out, at the very least.
  5. Great work @deejammin'...classic stuff. Matt Rendell can eat a bucket full of *****
  6. Saints second best in terms of coaches votes! It really is bizarre they'd let him walk. Definitely could've attracted something in return the Saints, maybe not from us, but from someone. Seems like very good fortune for the Dees
  7. Great pick up. Puts a stack of pressure on JJ and Sparrow to grow and secure their positions long term. The quality and commitment of the blokes picked 20-28 are what drives the quality of 16-22. If there's little pressure coming from underneath, e.g. players likely to steal your spot if you perform poorly players could become complacent. This was definitely a factor this year, Sparrow, JJ, LJ, Rivers, Spargo they just didn't want to lose their spots to Jones, Hibberd, Melksham, Jetta, Weideman etc.
  8. Fritsch more than just A grade goalkicker for mine. Hands are elite, in the air and on the ground and rarely if ever loses his feet. Almost like a cat, even when jumping at the high ball often finds a way to land on his feet and stay in the contest. His goal in the third where Max inadvertantly spoiled his marking attempt a prime example. Also can be quite elusive with the ball in hand in general play. Tackling not a strength and I will admit he looks more A grade with both BB and TMac in the side allowing him to get the third defender, but you can only beat who you're up against (most of the time). .
  9. Toumpas a big miss. Could have gone Wines i think. Hundreds of stories like that I know, but the fact that Ollie and Jack are best mates & Todd Viney was in the footy department makes it worse
  10. Agree Rocky. He's pretending that he actually analyses anything and puts names in columns knowing that only fans of the team , or real footy heads, will know any better. The vast majority of readers won't care. Langdon and Gus are great, but not A grade for mine. Neither is Viney IMO. Fritsch definitely A grade.
  11. Agree. Far to garish those premiers caps. Grey better than the black but still not great
  12. Pretty much every move the football department has made in recent years, whether players, picks or both (in or out) have netted a positive outcome. Very proud to say they've earned our confidence and justified their salaries! .
  13. Ordered half a doz this morning
  14. Der-wayne...irellevant yet hilarious yet infuriating
  15. thanks gg....but...
  16. I prefer a more sublte look to @mauriesy...this one's not too bad https://footyplusmore.com.au/products/pre-order-western-bulldogs-2021-premiers-phase-2-mens-polo?_pos=46&_sid=450ddd34a&_ss=r&variant=40965105254556 I'm not a fan of the black premiers caps either, terrible
  17. Back to back...great idea! 😁
  18. Has anyone come across news suggesting Carlton Draught will release premiership cans like they did last year for the tigers? Strangely Dan Murphy's is showing the Tigers can as the 2021 premiers: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_808084/carlton-draught-carlton-draught-2020-afl-premiership-cans-375ml Out of stock though of course.

  20. Great point. Like the all rounder in cricket, ideally they need to be good enough to be picked purely as a batsman or a bowler. Then the other skill is a real weapon.
  21. Its how it's kept free. I am fine with it. As a customer, who doesn't love getting a little more bang for their buck?
  22. Jayden is the perfect example of 'break glass in case of emergency'.
  23. I'm comfortable with Hunt as the medical sub. Pretty close to a utility player, can play forward, mid or back. Provides dash and flexibility, and in reality can be brought on at any time if the situation calls for it.
  24. I still have it somewhere.
  25. First game, Melbourne V Footscray R8 1994 MCG I don't think it was my first but it's the earliest memborable one. Memorable because it fell on my birthday and we got rolled by 3 points after leading at half time. Lyon kicked 5 goals, Shwarz 3. Bizarelly Illija Grgic kicked 6, seriously, WTF? It became a pattern for the Dees, ordinary players kicking bags of goals against us Best game, Melbourne v Hawthorn 2018 QF I was at the EF as well, which was great, but I hold the QF higher. Mostly because i found myself at Pilgrim bar after the game drinking pints with David Neitz, Brad Green, Wrecker Whelan, Paul Hopgood and Guy Rigoni Worst game Melbourne v Nth Melbourne 1998 Prelim Bizarrely in those days, we had to play a semi final against St Kilda despite beating Adelaide (comfortably) in a qualifying final in week 1. We'd go on to beat the Saints easily as well before running into a powerful North team who'd had the week off. Despite an admiral effort we'd lose by 5 goals. North would go on to lose the GF to Adelaide by plenty, who has magically turned their fortunes around after copping a belting from us at the G 3 weeks prior.
