  1. They might issue them a fine, suspended for 12 months pending further indiscretion. It would be the soft heavy handed approach
  2. Scott Steiner and Chris Masters carry the tradition. Chris Tarrant resists the temptation every week
  3. Correct, and having lost hb/mids with questionable disposal we certainly have room for him
  4. Apparently they requested he remove his t/shirt. Possibly during the search. Or maybe one of the officers was a raving homo and wanted to catch a glimpse. Who knows it is perth
  5. Did he refuse a saliva swab, I was under the impression it was the blood test he refused. I have no doubt he is guilty and i am sure the police, the club and the AFL are of the same opinoun but legal precedence suggests that knowing something and proving it are entirely different things
  6. Thats a good point Jaded. I wonder how far a father could take this kind of opinoun. If he legitimately thought his son could be in harms way playing for the Eagles could he stop him from being drafted by them and if so would that mean Trent would have to make himself unavailable from playing for any club in 2008. Or would that mean he is being forced to forego an oppurtunity to earn a living and therefore be allowed to play elsewehre. This could be very interesting and end up in the courts if the Cotchin's are passionate enough and the AFL play their cards poorly. They probably can't force the Eagles to do anything but they could make a strong suggestion it would be in the best interests of the Eagle to play their cards close to their chests and pick a local boy.
  7. Surely if he is just the accused at this stage they wouldn't sack him. Isn't one innocent until proven guilty in Australia
  8. Surely Richmond would select Cale Morton at 2 considering they have successfully lured Mitch from WCE. We are still an outside chance for Cotchin but it remains unlikely. No doubt we will still pick up a good player. Can a young player refuse to go to a particular club should they feel it will negatively affect their life in some way?
  9. Tenace has pace and meets our under 24 target. Good option in comparison to the others available. . With 3 picks in the top 21 and then a couple of later picks I think taking a punt on a recycled player in the PSD is worthwhile
  10. Maybe even later than that. The drafts are in December
  11. Gimme a break. Neita will [censored] in 50 goals if he remains fit and plays 20 games. I reckon he'll manage between 12-15 games and average better than 2 a game. Still had plenty of penetration in his kicking when fit and didn't constantly go to ground in contests as big players tend to do when they can't match it with the big boys anymore. Agree it would be good to take the captaincy load off him but at the moment there aren't any suitable replacements and therefore the man with more resolve than team of navy seals will have to carry the burden again. IMO he is more than capable
  12. Judd will look after number 1. JUDD
  13. There is always a loophole that can be used. Plus draft selections can be considered subjective in that every clubs opinouns and needs differ. Even though Judd is widely considered the best player in the comp if the Tigers sign a document that states they believe Chris Judd is not a good fit for their club at this time and ensure they will draft someone else how could that be considered draft tampering. Thats their opinoun and they have a right to express it regardless of how wrong or unlikely it is. If Tigers and Blues collaborate appropirately they can stick it to the Eagles big time and personally I think its great.
  14. One would assume they would need to sign some sort of legally binding document in advance of the PSD to ensure that doesn't happen. Plus, thats how wars start.
  15. I like it. If you think the Eagles wouldn't do the same if roles were reversed you are kidding yourself. They are as ruthless as anyone else. Carlton have put forward a trade they believe is fair and reasonable and they have said all along no.1 is not on the table. It doesn't appear they have closed the door on further negotiations with the Eagles just where it involves the first pick. If WCE are smart and picks 3, 20 and kennedy is not enough for Judd they should play it smart and start making alternative suggestions like obtaining another second round pick or similar or another player/s.
  16. OK, well now on to non-self gratifying matters
  17. 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown 1. J Brown
  18. We should really stop posting solely about Yze_magic. His hard on would be severely depriving his brain from blood as a result.
  19. What else is he gonna say he's a piece of crap if you want him you can have him?
  20. Correct. If he has breached the contract in some way he could be de-listed I would assume the Eagles would look to offload him in a trade next week but assuming they fail in that endeavour its not improbable that he could be de-listed. It was stated this week that Chris Mainwaring and the Eagles had a major falling out at some stage this year and not doubt Ben Cousins would have been invlved in that is some way considering their friendship. They could end up with 3 top 20 picks in this years draft and might be looking to start fresh while their 4 main KPPs are still quite young (Glass, Cox, Hunter, Hansen) in an attempt to have a crack at a flag in 2-4 years. On top of that Ben has been one headache after another for the last 24 months. One would think the saints may look to land him to re-create the old Gardiner-Cousins show. What a ticking time bomb that could be
  21. I think Stynes has said in the past he was pretty much forced to retire despite him thinking he had more in the tank, and when big Jim tells you he has more in the tank I think you have to believe him. He did play 6000 games in a row
  22. Easy bender, out of all that only Simmonds was a real blunder, and he was sent to the Dockers not the Tigers Jolly was desperate to leave and really isn't all that good anyway, Jason Ball made that duo at Sydney look good in 05. Stynes might have been pushed aside 1 year to early but would it really have made any difference to our perfomance in '99? He would have been rooted by 2000 and even if he was still serviceable would it have changed the GF result? A 10 goal loss to the best team possibly of all time. On top of that Matt Rosa looks a bit soft to me, not conviced about him as a player yet.
