  1. So crazy to speak of getting Bailey back. Especially when Neale Daniher is available.
  2. Yes I am. Trengove not in your best???? That is why it is called a personal opinion
  3. 6. Magner 5. Trengove ENORMOUS GAP 4. Joel Mac 3. Howe 2. Bate 1. Green
  4. Harsh. Joel Mac was not great, but i thought he was among our best of the 20 others that were rubbish.
  5. I will prepare to be shot down, but does anyone think that Davis is a sneaky chance to get a game? He has played all thr pre season games, and maybe a bit of a dark horse. Have not seen his name mentioned yet.
  6. Is there a chance that Tapscott will play forward this year? I know he was drafted as a forward. His kicking would be a weapon from the half forward line. And will he be in our best 22?
  7. +3 more yesterday morning when they must of read my mind and called me up about 10 minutes after telling my wife I should renew. Freaky. Go Dee's.
  8. Reasonably happy with last night. I think we may of been instructed to bomb it long due to the conditions, and that it will not be a regular tactic. Sellar was just ok. Did some good things, but some ordinary things as well. Magner was impressive, but I would like to see him repeat his form if he is going to be elevated. Can someone tell me what the current scenario is? How many spots do we have? Enjoyed watching Flash, and I really hope he can have a big year. Stef Martin was good. Almost goal of the year, was great to watch. Clarke is going to be a great addition. Loved his tackle to get a shot at goal. Howe looked good for the limited time he got. The OOB rule killed us, due to us not adapting to this rule and playing around the boundary. This is not such a bad thing.
  9. Anyone know some of the interesting match ups. Who is playing on Clark?
  10. I couldn't get down there today. Sorry.
  11. I could not find it on the site, but searched my old emails for the final update.
  12. Hey all. I would be keen to join a league, but all seem full. I am happy to start a new one if need be, and there is enough interest. My score last year was 51186.
  13. Include Allen Jackovich to the 13 which makes it a bit more impressive. It is like picking your favorite child. I will go with 12, just ahead of 16 and 9.
  14. Notes after watching: I can remember being very exited about Brock Mclean at this stage. Even though most will not admit, they were too. His tale is a sad one. I loved to watch Byron. We need another David Neitz. Hopefully Clarke can fill that role. and thanks for the memories Green Machine.
  15. C - Maloney VC - Trengove, Grimes LG - Rivers, Jones, Green, Frawley, Watts
  16. Patton will be cheap enough, but im not sure if he will score that well as a KPP in his first year. For me, Watts will be one of my first selections, and that Tom guy from GWS could go alright. Brian Lake might be one to watch too, if he can get back his form from the previous year. My vote is for SuperCoach over Dream Team.
  17. "P" for Premierships. 12 we have and another to follow.....soon.
  18. I want first dibs on changing my profile name. i think The Great Clutterbuck has a nice ring to it.
  19. Jai Sheahan. Surely we are not considering another big boy? http://www.dailytele...2-1226200038776
  20. Most would argue, that in more recent times, the long kicking part of the game has decreased, and the handball, and more possession type of play has taken over. This is the reason that the press game works so well. So to combat that, I think that the long kicking, to contests, may start to rework its way back. It will combat the press, because you can just kick it long out of danger, and therefore the need for bigger players, who will be an advantage in a contest, will become required. Or maybe I am wrong? It is just a theory.
  21. "Current Trend" is in reference to the press. Kick long being the strategy to combat it.
  22. My theory is that the plan for most teams to combat the so called press game, that is the current trend; is to kick the ball long. This will often result in kicks being taken quickly and under pressure. Obviously this will result in inaccurate kicks to (hopefully) contest situations. Therefore, the bigger, taller players will be used to bring the ball down from contests, to the teams advantage. Or obviously to mark when possible. If you have more players that can play this role, as well as being versatile enough to play other roles, then the better off you will be. I hope that that makes sense. And remember, as stupid as it may sound to you, it is just an opinion.
  23. Will be happy if we get him at 36. Sounds like a ripper from what I have read.
  24. Thanks for clearing that up. Does anyone know when we are training at Casey? i know there is usually a Christmas one, but any before then?
  25. For some reason, I think Bate is going to impress us all next year. Or maybe I just like the thought of it being a great story. Either way, Bate is my smokey for this award.
