Between 10:30 and 11:00. While all the children are still at school. Fantastic fail MFC. -
Reasons to be cheerful - Part 3
The Great One 99 replied to The Reverend's topic in Melbourne Demons
We have not lost a game in over 13 weeks -
Mathew Scarlett did, and also SOS Silvagni. I think you should always give the player the choice if available.

Is there any rule in regards to the highest number allowed. I was wondering why no-one has ever done this before. I would definitely pick 99 if I ever played and had the choice. Also, I would offer JV 12 if he wants it, and hold off on 18 for Billy Stretch as well. They may not want, but I would always offer

Inert gas can be pretty powerful stuff. Have you not seen Terminator 2?

For me, Longer is a huge prospect for the future. I would rate him higher than all the tucks we have.
-
If Longer wants out, then Bribane might take a trade for Jamar and swap 2nd rounders. Longer would be our first choice ruck, so our deal might appeal more than hawks where he would be in the same boat as at brisbane

I heard the tail end of that also. Was wondering others thoughts. I rate him pretty highly, and would be stoked if we could pick him up.
-
Since McEvoy is going to the Hawks, I heard that Melbourne could be in the running to snag Billy Longer. I may of just made this up due to wishful thinking. But I could not find a Billy Longer thread

On that note. I believe the Saints will be relocating to New Zealand, and to help establish a kiwi (Lord of the Rings) connection, they will be re-named the Dwarves.

Brett Ratten, Worthy of consideration
The Great One 99 replied to Deemanding's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ratten would get my vote. I thought that he was doing a reasonable job at Carlton and was unlucky with injurys. Malthouse has obviously not been any better. He has also had assisitant experiance at the Hawks, Blues and us previously, so he would of gained a lot of experiance. He is also a respected bloke. He would be my first choice. I am not sure why he has not been mentioned as much as some of the other names. -
Anyone for a bet - Next Coach Market
The Great One 99 replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Brett Ratten. He has done as good job as Malthouse at Blues so far. Probably with less due to injuries last year. He would be my pick. -
What will we do with our pick this year
The Great One 99 replied to Grimseyisgod's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would like to go after Sam Kerridge from Adelaide. I rate him, and if we get in his ear, we could get him. -
Neeld's Pre-Game Address
The Great One 99 replied to Straight Sets Simon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mark Neelds address is exactly how the players played. No one cared on both occasions -
I would imagine that if you were to send a team out to play with no coach at all, the result would not be as bad as that.

I can't wait for pre-season again. That is when we dominate

I have bets equating to about $100 with friends on our peformance this year. I will be paying them all out on Tuesday

Toumpa, Toumpa, doopaty doo. That is what I think of when I hear his name. From the Oompa loompas on Willy Wonka.

From what I hear, Dawes is supposed to be a bit of a leader, I would be watching him over pre-season for a possible role. Bartram is the only doubt, but only due to his injury.
