  1. Agree with you there Super Demon, and with Yze Magic. Many have jumped down his throat for being so cynical of BB, but it isn't just coincidence that the year he arrives, is the year we have a really bad run with injuries. Already with the scalps of the Hawks and to a lesser extent the bummers, he can proudly add Melbourne's 2007 season to his highly credentialed resume.
  2. The problem is that they have been saying that pretty much every time after a loss. Then they go on and say how they are going to stop, reverse or fix the problems. Then a week later we get told the same things over and over again. Why should we believe them this time? Sure long and direct is the way we play our best football (and every other team as well). yet when the ball is bounced in the first quarter, it's as if all of that goes out the window.
  3. Yep, Belly had a great last quarter and has come on a bit this season. Although it was easy, i loved his cut and run on the HFF in the last quarter. Great to see him playing good footy.
  4. Play Newton to see how he will go
  5. LOL, running out games well? That 'sign of fitness' could have something to do with the fact that we didn't even play footy for the 7 previous quarters before the last against the roos.
  6. Yep Miller has to go. CHF along with CHB are the 2 key positions on the field. Miller will never be a decent CHF. He's easily pushed out of the way, and he doesn't kick that many goals. He's barely up to AFL standard, let alone having him play one of the most important positions on the ground. If a decent trade comes up for him, i'd take it in a heart-beat.
  7. Totally Agree with you FitZ. A team can't get away with a win by only placing 1 good quarter of footy. We saw in the space of a half, Melbourne's best and worst. All i ask for is 4-quarters of football. That's not asking much is it? I mean that's what they're paid to do, right?
  8. The heart-break losses aren't gonna cost the club members. It's the fact that the coach, President and CEO come out and tell the supporters to come out and support their team, and when we get there, we have to put up with the crap the players served up for the first three quarters.
  9. Pezza D, although the Kangas won (and deserved to win), the fact that Melbourne, a team that hasn't won a game this year, could only play one good quarter today and yet only lose by 1 point shows up the Kangas in a big way.
  10. His disposal wasn't the best today. But i loved his endeavor and attack on the ball. Hopefully he will become the next Viney (with damn good skills as well).
  11. I like 'The Age' deal though. 26 weeks of papers being delivered to your door, 4 times a week for only $25.
  12. Sometimes i don't think some MFC players realise that this is their job. They are payed top dollar to give their best performance, and many have given anything but. Too bad none are on performance based salaries, we'd see effort put in then. Pity
  13. The same question was asked to Joffa, and he said that there is something special with the Grannie finishing and the sun going down at the same time. Something mystical. And i happen to agree with him. It should stay a day game. Why destroy such a tradition. The Grand Final is known to all as being played on the last Saturday in September, not Saturday night. Who gives a stuff about fireworks. If the atmosphere at the ground doesn't get you going, then fireworks bloody well won't.
  14. Nah, Brayshaw will get him to sit in another seat. LOL
  15. I wouldn't mind Ingerson as our CHB either
  16. If Bruce was to be a superstar, he would have already achieved it by now. He might have become one if it wasn't for that thug Guerra and his tackle, @$$hole.
  17. If my memory serves me well, we only lost to the weagles by 20-something points.
  18. I don't think Brock will be too happy about that
  19. The way we're going, i'd take either. Both will help our club in a big big way.
  20. There are very few fairytales in football mate. And quite frankly, our team doesn't deserve one.
  21. Yep agree with that. And that there is always next year. Hell atleast Richmond tried. Richmond played for the guernsey this weekend, whilst we did not. It will be very interesting to see how we come out next week. Our pride is on the line (or what's left of it). Will the players even care and give a yelp? Come on boys fire up FFS.
  22. Sounds like you've given up all hope. It doesn't hurt me anymore - and i am one of the more passionate fans you could find. what does that mean???
  23. hotgod, i recommend you go down to TBO and see Sandy play as many times you can this season (even if you live in Darwin). It is the only place you will find joy in football this year.
  24. Yep agree, totally agree. Atleast this years trading period the mfc will be very active (if they wake up from their self-deceit) and of course, if any team is game to recruit any players. No more of this Yoga crap Bodan or whatever his name is promotes, the MFC need to go back to the basics of football. post-season trade and draft time is fast becoming the thing i'm waiting for. Not our first win.
  25. This (the season that is)
