I'd like to be there when the bookies come to collect

Whilst i may be looking in to it with too much favour, i loved Petracca's penetrative kick in the middle to Hogan inside the 50, leading to a Hogan goal. He has the ability and confidence to kick it forward with purpose and penetration required that will make Hogan light up, whenever he sees Truck with the pill in the middle.

The blokes a side-talker. He talks out of the side of his mouth

Agree Nash, they may look similar, but there's a difference between slow and lazy
-
If i were a Hawks fan (shudders at the thought), i might be disappointed, but ultimately wouldn't give a sh!t. I'd have seen 4 premierships in the past 8 years.

That's what happens when his position is on the ground

Easy Chewie. Sure you're relatively new here, but you're showing way too much intelligence for my liking. Hopefully Demonland will be able to iron it out of you.

If we don't win, i don't a flying fig about whatever-else happens in AFL for the week. Yes, i'm allowed to have my cake and eat it too.
-
I hate that we set-up in a zone defence. Then again, if we play one on one, it means that every player will need to be accountable...................yeah, i'd stick with a zone defence too.

What, so you're suggesting that these players' earning $100,000's need to turn up and earn it every week? Some nerve you've got AF.

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000
Demon Disciple replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
If i was PJ i'd be mightily PO'd. Our losses (Hobart aside) would have really impacted on potential membership numbers. After today's performance, the playing group shouldn't concern themselves with supporters turning up to Etihad, but supporters turning up. period. -
Surely he shouldn't have to. He's in Waikiki FFS, not his fault
-
Agreed. North only scored 61 points last night, yet they are still undefeated. It's a juggling act, and we're dropping too many balls at the moment.
-
At least you know what you get from Dawesy. Effort. How many players' turned up with that today, 3.....4?
-
Yep, loved how they wanted everyone to turn up, and yet they didn't. If i was them, i'd be solely worrying about what they can control, not what they cannot.
-
His quirky run up works for him, why try and fix something that isn't broken? The more we try and tinker with it, the more it will screw him up.
-
Agree with you on this picket. If Frost is to be in the 22, it should only be as a KPD. The jury is still massively out on him, and the more it is, the worse it gets. His 2 goals highly flattered him today. Dawes is still a walk-up start as CHF when fit, until Weideman overtakes him.
-
I reckon the playing group got massively ahead of themselves at quarter time and went in to cruise control, thinking the match was in their hands and they'd coast to victory.
-
I'm sorry fence, but i doubt a 4 game, first-year player would've made any difference.
-
This is a major component of his game that needs to be stamped out very quickly, he does like to sook doesn't he! Maybe if his performance warranted paying attention to, then he might have got some (back to Casey for him). As for Tom McDonald - Showed true self. He is massively overrated - on here, by the footy department and by himself. A brainless one-legged man would be a better kick and decision maker than him. We desperately need to find a quality KPD if our backline is to improve. Try and entice Hurley across to be the linchpin of our defence. McDonald would be a much improved player as 2nd/3rd KPD.
-
It was good to see Jesse find some form, pity about the end result though. Good thing that May is out next week, Jesse could do another number on their defence, now if only everyone else decides to turn up next week, we may be a slight chance.
-
Unfortunately, this seems to be the mantra during Roos' tenure. Though i wouldn't say i'm confident. The Saints exposed our lack of pace, what do you think GC will do?
-
Boo hoo, a good footy team plays good football anywhere at anytime. Interstate teams have to travel every 2nd week, yet they still manage to rise up the ladder. Loved how all and sundry at the club (including the playing group) urge Dees fans to show up, yet they have the gaul to not turn up themselves.

MFC 2016 Membership - Record Broken. Next stop: 40,000

nor should armchair memberships -
Not entirely their fault today, but our defence (or defensive efforts on the whole) has gone backwards this year. We continually struggle to stop big run-ons by teams. The past 2 weeks when challenged we were good, but they were only 2/3 goal run ons, we struggle to halt and reverse momentum when it gets out by 4+ goals. Hopefully this puts all that talk of finals and newfound confidence back in its box. We are still very immature in mindset - and i reckon we were mentally exhausted by our recent good form. It needs to be carried for an entire season, not consecutive weeks or a month. We are not there yet, nowhere near it.
