Saw him first hand a few weeks ago in the Foster v Fish Creek game, did some nice things (one being taking a ruck clearance, running 10-15 and then kicking it from about 65/70m (wind assisted). He was very much in and out of the game, but everything he did was pure class and stood out like 🐕⚽️.

Maybe they took these measurements both with and without footy boots on

Interested to see how Willem Duursma goes next year.

I dare say that Stringer would apply more forward pressure than what Fritsch does.

Hotton to me lacks elite decision making skills, furthermore he’s a tad apprehensive in moving it on quickly. His kicking ain’t that flash either. Would be very reluctant to pick him up with #5

The significance of the Brownlow medal has substantially diminished during the 21st Century.

Don’t expect any money coming from the State Government. Victoria is so far in debt that it will take generations to recover from. Maybe federal funding, but most of the money will need to come from private donations, MCC and naming rights.

I honestly don’t understand why these clubs get a leg up with their academies. Much like the NGA’s, if a kid is selected under pick 40 (or whatever it is), clubs shouldn’t be able to match bids for them. I’m happy for the F/S rule to change to this too, in order to establish a fairer draft system. These clubs opted to establish themselves in these locations, they weren’t told to go there. They should deal with the consequences of their decisions, both good and bad.

My hope is for a Brisbane premiership. They’ve been up for a while and deserve a flag more than the Swans. That and I can’t stand the arrogance of Swans supporters when their team is in a GF

I’m sorry, but to not even score in a quarter is inexcusable. Especially considering that we were 3 goals up going into the last.

The success that permeated the club has now been completely replaced by a fear of losing.

A real barometer of our team. Plays well when the team is playing well, goes missing when the team if playing poorly

I’ve been in to the middle of the racecourse numerous times and it ain’t exactly teeming with local residents. Funnily enough, neither is Caulfield Park most days. This is just locals complaining for the sake of it, and I doubt they’ll be complaining when there are 2 lovely footy ovals for them to play on (as well as soccer pitches), if/when this gets built. As a local resident, I cannot see any downside for the MFC to build here (and I’d be saying exactly the same thing if another footy club were to be attempting to build there too).
