A lot of the reasons why we are in the mess we now find ourselves is due to Roffey’s ‘leadership’. Her complacency as president is as great as Goodwin’s as coach.

That kind of progressive thinking is too complex for our coaching group

wtf are they doing in the coaches box? Are we just rocking back and forth repeating “it’ll come good stick to the process”? We’ll be lucky to have 40,000 members next year if Goodwin and this playing style is persisted with.

Someone escaping much of the deserved blame is Kate Roffey. What did she actually do as President, except for overseeing a very complacent board?

Maybe Bowey……….compared to last year and not his 2021/2022 form. That’s about it. Pretty damning for all of our coaches not being able to develop our players. So a new coach, many assistant coaches, GM of footy, list manager and CEO…………..no too many holes to fix 🤮

Funny how since the players have been trusted more for their own fitness regimens over the summer, we can barely run out 3 quarters. This new ‘love’ program needs to be torn up, players have gotten way too complacent. Time for the tough love approach, who cares if we put noses out of joint as something drastic needs to be done.

Agree that Petty needs to be shown the door. Lacks any sense of footy iq, is slow and lazy.

I’m wanting to know what the leadership is doing to try and rectify our current predicament. Our current plight is a dark mark on the leadership of Gawn, Viney, Lever, et al.

As much as I think Goodwin needs to go, it is much too early in the season to be sacking a coach. Though I think 2025 should be his last (unless he gets us to a prelim 🤪). I think the playing group, in particular the leadership group, need to have a good look at themselves. Not even the greatest of coaches would be able to fix some of the decision making and skills that have been displayed the last 6 quarters. That’s squarely on the playing group. The lack of talk out on the field and willingness to 2-way run is all about effort and completely between the ears. Selection statements need to be made. Give senior games to those that put in and give their all. When all is said and done, more is said than done.

Best news of the year so far. Get his knee right, then pump more games into him.
