  1. Hibberd is probably winning at this stage. He's been All Australian form from his first game back! Clarry second, Tmac third. Be close for a few after that with guys like Hunt, Petracca, Jetta, Garlett all playing well most of the year.
  2. 6 weeks until we get Jones and Viney back? Reckon Tommy Bugg is good to cover the captaincy for 6 weeks.
  3. Looked to have hurt his knee in the dying seconds of the game. Struggled off the ground with help from a medical staff member. Knowing his knee history I'm not expecting good news. TMac also limping heavily at the end of the match with heavily strapped leg so hopefully he pulls up ok. We're the walking dead at the moment. Shame to see injury ruin what is a very promising football team this year.
  4. Won't win another game until we get good players back from injury. No Jones, Hogan, Watts, Garlett, Salem, Viney and Tyson.... that's impossible to cover. Hoping we can still make finals from here though. O Mac and T Mac probably our best tonight.
  5. We won't win another game until we get some players back from injury. No Jones, Hogan, Watts, Viney, Garlett, Salem is too much class, pressure and grunt to cover.
  6. Viney just lumped off and went down into the rooms. If he's out injured we are absolutely [censored].
  7. Both Wagner and White have been pathetic. Missing tackles on players who literally stood still and kicking straight to the opposition. Midfield getting slaughtered. Can't see us winning this one unless Goodwin pulls some magic. Should be 60-70 points down now so we're lucky we've still got a shot at this!
  8. Track and Viney on fire. Mitch White and Wagner horribly loose down back so far. Need to tighten up and not leave everything to Jetta and Hibberd!
  9. If Hunt is outta going to be really tough to win. We're already up against our with our 3 main goal kickers out, but losing Salem, Garnett and Hunt... that's a lot of run and defensive pressure to lose in one hit.
  10. Seeing Dion Johnstone as emergency ahead of Kent... bit odd. Kent will surely be requesting a trade at the end of the year.
  11. So Wagner and White to rotate half back and Hunt to play forward seems the likely change then.
  12. Only 3 of them were actually effective... so I'm sure the Eagles are stoked they'll be able to retain that incredible output. Love that Clarry has more effective touches in one match than Schofield has in two months
  13. Wagner in for Salem Kent in for Garlett Not ideal but we are digging into depth now. If the teams brings the right intensity we will win. At our best we can beat anyone now. It's going to be tough with so many of our top players out and coming off a short break back from the west.
  14. I reckon it's different now. Back then all we had was glimpses and blind hope those high draft picks would make it. Now our players are proving they can make it. They're fighting for a top 4 spot despite only being 20-30 games into their careers. I don't think we'll pinch a flag this year, just focus on making finals and getting finals experience. I'll back them to win one within the next few years though. It's exciting times seeing these kids tear it up!
  15. Definitely not quick. Not meaning to sound rude, but go so far to say he's one of the slowest indigenous players I've ever seen. That's part of his problem IMO If he had speed it would add so much more to his game, as he would become dangerous up forward or becoming an option. Due to his lack of pace, his last chance to make it now appears to become an inside ball winner like he's been doing in the VFL. Not sure he can make it doing that as others on our list are far ahead of him in that regard. Best of luck to him though. He'll be around next year at least so can't say he's not being given a chance to prove himself. Hopefully he is another Jetta type story where he can change positions and develop into a really reliable player.
  16. Think the club should've waited until the end of the year. Thought he would be a prime candidate to delist, and then possibly re-rookie. He's showed nothing at AFL level so far. Hoping he proves me wrong and starts having an impact when he gets his shot. His VFL form has been solid so he will get another shot at AFL level soon you'd think. 5 years is a long time on an AFL list for a small to not establish themselves, usually that amount of time is for developing talls.
  17. Hoping Watts plays. Then changes are easy. Out: Salem In: Watts If Hogan gets up, then despite not playing badly, someone like Harmes or Melksham will probably need to make way for him.
  18. He copped an elbow to the chin, went down, and now is getting blasted by everyone. The fact they are saying he dived and wasn't even hit, or that a doctor would risk their job and forge a medical report specifically to get someone suspended for a week... it's mental. Proper mental. The amount of abusive posts I've seen online targeting him is truly staggering. He's getting more air time and vitriol hurled at hime than a terrorist who has killed people! The disgusting thing is that he is the victim in all this. This is the equivalent of a guy hitting his wife and people saying 'ah well she probably deserved it'. Why is the victim being crucified? It says a lot about Australians and our culture that this is happening from both the media and individuals. This false bravado rubbish needs to go the way of the dodo. Feel really sorry for Oliver and hope the club psychologist works with him. He's up there next to Jack Viney as the toughest young ball winner I've seen since Michael Voss! He's been copping 100s of abusive posts directed at him, and probably lots of direct messages to his Twitter, Instagram etc. Hope it doesn't effect him mentally or effect him in his day to day life getting harassed.
  19. If we play our best football, we can beat anyone. That means we are a chance. A chance. Let's just make finals first though. Still nearly half a season to go and it can fall apart quickly. We've got some injuries to key players and if we lost more key players to injury then we're buggered. I reckon 2019 is our year personally. Our kids will have matured further by then and older guys likes Jones won't be carrying as much of the load. Imagine Hogan, Petracca, Oliver, Hunt etc with another 50 games under their belt!
  20. Can't post properly. Still shaking. Can't believe that win. [censored] incredible effort! Viney Tmac and Oliver were immense. How good is this young list!
  21. Good signing. Provided he can remain healthy he has all the tools the become a quality player for us long term. He's already impacting games, but like many youngsters just needs to build consistency. Hopefully his health issues are behind him and we can keep him on the park tearing it up with that laser kick of his!
  22. Hawks win. This match devalues our win over Adelaide in my eyes, but also shows our game style is the right way to play. When we belted them I thought we'd knocked off an unbeatable team at their home ground. Seeing them lose to a poor team in Hawthorn tonight purely because they can't handle defensive pressure shows them up as a average-good side. They won't be doing much damage come finals time if they can't handle this pressure. It bodes well for us though as we are the best at putting on defensive pressure. Our game style will stand up in finals. That's exciting. ...still hate seeing the Hawks win. Such an unlikeable team!
  23. Crows defensive transitioning tonight has been abysmal. If they don't score, they're not getting back to fill the corridor quick enough. If they were playing a better team tonight they'd be 7-8 goals down right now. If they can't stand up when there's pressure like this then they can't win the flag IMO.
  24. Gawn and Stretch the official ins. Great choice by the selection committee this week. Go Dees!
  25. From the VFL report regarding Billy Stretch: "Billy had 24 disposals, including 17 contested possessions, eight tackles and 14 clearances". Bring him and Gawn in for Jones and Watts. Would much prefer Stretch to JKH. He's faster, more agile, is better in the contest, and has better skills on the outside. He's also fitter, covers more ground and gets to more contests. No contest between the two IMO and I'll be disgusted if I see JKH in the team again ahead of him. He's part of our future. JKH is delist material.
