GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Geelong
Working hard, but allowing them too much space, not skilful enough, and i50s are a disaster. Did you see the Selwood duck and arm throw rewarded? Sheesh

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
Some thoughts before the bounce: Last week, Gawn was down, and the midfield was down. We kicked poorly to targets forward of centre, and struggled to run back or run outside to cover Power players. The defenders were on a hiding to nothing, and didn’t cover themselves in glory. The 666 setup favours teams who can win the clearance and deliver well into 50. Last week, what should have been our strength, was a massive weakness. If we can turn this around with max and the centre square team winning, or at least halving contests, and then using the ball well, we are in with a red hot chance. The team needs to get back to two way running and not all getting sucked into the contest, then stand back and watch the opposition run off and away in overlap. If we could learn anything from Richmond Vs Collingwood, then ball control and winning each contest is vital to success. Chaos ball can only serve us if we can get to and win way more contests than we lose. We need to be aware that the umpires will play home ground advantage, and with Dangerblabberwood, we are sure to get a few howlers against. We need to keep our cool and crack in. I worry that Viney and Jones wont be able to go the distance... If we show up, Dees by 26 points.

Cornes: Stop Whinging Dees
This guy is a bilge pumper. Likes to be Mr Headline. He is right that we have to take responsibility for how we played it, but he is wrong that asking for guidance on where the ‘line’ is should be considered whinging. If what Port did is OK, then I would give Paddy Ryder a total workover next time we meet. Mr May is just the man for the job. Gawn had no mates, and this really underscores I think the biggest issue of the whole day. There seemed to be no cohesion in the group, they did not play for each other or do team first actions. We got what we deserved for doing so. Kane Corn (holer) will find something else to dump on next week, and his Port Power affiliations are too strong to discount in his coverage.

Training - Wednesday, 27th March 2019
20 seconds to go, 40 metres out, 3 points down. Who do you want kicking it? Jones, Petracca, Gawn, Spargo, ?? Chunk has delivered captain’s goals, and will again. This was a bad mistake, and I imagine he recognises it. However, he has a lot to offer. The issue may be that it is either him or Lewis for the HB role, as he has probably been superseded in the midfield (except for a few chunky rotations..).

Michael Christian
How was he even selected for the post? Perhaps a former umpire would have been better than a [censored] ex filth [censored]. Or even a lawyer. In fact, get Gobbo on the go. She can do defence as well as prosecute. Seriously, going ‘lenient’ when it suits him shows the weakness of character of the man. Consistency is what matters with a process such as the one he runs. Not according to his whims.

Crowd support for the Demons
Hard to get excited with that dross. Watching us miss easy marks, get left flat footed, kick to opposition defenders time and again? Not score for a whole quarter? perhaps if they gave us even the remotest thing to cheer....

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
We also had something weird going on, with TMac on the bench for 11 minutes at one stage. Thought he was injured, then he bobbed up in the ruck. Strange?.?..?

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Arrogant. From the performance to Goodys presser. It stunk. we lost. We gave up 4 points for no reason. Every leader failed to show up. We were outplayed. It is completely despairing to see the way they played. We can’t wait 4 weeks to find our mojo. a number of senior players need a good hard look at themselves. Where is ‘our brand? Seriously troubled by that.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
That was insipid. skills, decision making, effort, run. All poor or worse. so many stalwarts had absolute mares. It was horrendous. we make Westoff and Pepper pig look good. man, there needs to be a serious video review of that.

Round 1 Non MFC games
I would be happy if they belt the crap out of each other in a nil all draw. We should get a bead on the cats and any new things they are up to in preparation for next week.

Are Richmond good, Carlton woeful, or both?

Round 1 Non MFC games
I'm keen to see how the new rules are used to change the game up, and how teams respond. Think there has been sone ducks and drakes with the kick ins in particular. I am not keen to see the maggots destroy games with their one sided, biased umpiring. ie Rance, Danger, Blabblett, Dusty etc all get free passes.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Wow. Poor guy. I hope he has someone who is helping him with his anxiety. Making poor choices around alcohol may or may not be caused by the anxiety, or even correlated. I do not know if this is a club imposed ‘sanction’ for his alcohol abuse against club rules, self imposed or negotiated? No listed return date. Looks bad. I wish the young man every success in getting well.

Big Improvers/Standout New Players
Would suggest he was completely fatigued. The rest of the team were, too, but perhaps his ‘indicators’ showed that he was cooked for that game??

Big Improvers/Standout New Players
Guy Walker is a standout. He will stand out most of the season, apparently (poor kid).
