  1. Midfield. Sorry but he'll never make it as a forward. He's an outside midfielder with a big tank and very good skills. You could throw him forward occasionally but never permanently, just doesn't suit him.
  2. Despite his bad kicking he still averages over a goal a game at AFL level. He cops a lot of [censored] from our supporters who don't watch games (He doesn't chase, he's a pea heart etc) but IMO he could be a decent player at AFL level. Remember our forward entries are IIRC the fewest in the comp, if we improve next year like we all hope I think a 40 goal season is a realistic target for Juice.
  3. This has been tried before and didn't work. PJ can't take big marks and has NO physical presence, which is very frustrating when the guy has the athleticism and size to be a very good player.
  4. You people haven't seen him play much if you think he's crap. I'd love to have him, aggressive and gets into packs to help out the mids (In fact he's quite similiar to Jamar). He'll be better than Jamar IMO.
  5. Rusling plays a bit like John Anthony, though he's a lot faster but not as good a kick. He's a lead up and mark player, has ridiculous pace and potentially could play FF but obviously is very injury-prone and one-dimensional. I don't think Bailey would go for him.
  6. Not sure about this. I rated him after he played his first few games up forward but Malthouse has played him down back and even on the flanks at times which doesn't suit a guy of his size. I reckon he'd be worth a shot but would give up our 3rd rounder, not 2nd.
  7. Don't care AS LONG AS IT ISN'T CARLTON OR COLLINGWOOD. If those two played each other I'd barrack for Carlton.
  8. I agree he's a bit soft, but thought today was the first time I've actually seen him go in after the ball. He also laid five tackles which adding to his four last week makes me think something has been said to him. I understand your sentiments, just find it strange you post them today after he played a reasonable game.
  9. I sense a bit of impatience in this thread. Jack will be a CHF in the mould of Riewoldt. I do think he lacks a bit of desperation and mongrel at times, but I hope that comes as he grows through AFL footy both mentally and physically.
  10. I hope those calling for tanking never celebrate a win this year again. You're a disgrace and have no idea about culture and football if you think we should lose.
  11. What a stupid thing to say mate. Firstly, what did we give away for Beamer? Pick 12. Guess who went at pick 12. Danny Meyer who was delisted by the Tigers and is now a fringe player at Port (We took the Master at 13 FWIW). We gave up a pick that would not have benefited us in the long run for a guy who bleeds for the club and is a potential captain. Geelong on-traded the pick to Richmond for Geelong, it isn't like we were the ones who gave up Ottens.
  12. FWIW I think Dwayne Russell is far worse than BT when it comes to bias against us.
  13. Tickets will also be a rip as usual. ****ing Etihad stadium.
  14. Didn't help PJ and Spencer were unaccountable all day. I expect us to win the ruck and win easily to be completely honest, Fraser is average in the ruck and gets a lot of cheap touches around the ground a la Jeff White circa 2006.
  15. I would think our whole team would be straight in there if they have a go at Jack. We need to remember to keep going the ball, I just hope Collingwood get carried away. I honestly don't think Jack will be that fussed to be honest. Leigh Brown won't throw his weight around, that guy is a fairy. Cale Morton could beat him up.
  16. Is it just me or is the ABC commentary horribly biased against us (AGAIN)?
  17. Agreed, I was on the top level in the southern stand behind the goals and thought although the Hawks had a big crowd our turnout wasn't THAT bad. Let's also consider it was an away game (Even though members for us get in free) and it was a rubbish timeslot.
  18. Flash has never paid a lot of attention to his opponent, but if you doubt his attitude you need to re-watch his chase on Muston? when the game was dead. He ran 100m to chase and nearly got him after giving him a 20m head start.
  19. If I was offered this I would very sadly say yes. Rioli is potentially as good as Ablett jnr. HOWEVER. I think we will have done extremely well out of this draft when we look back in 10 years time.
  20. I think Morton is a POTENTIAL superstar, but if he is going to reach that level IMO he has to put on SOME muscle. He really needs to fill out because although he has bags of natural ability he struggles to win the contested ball being so skinny.
  21. *sigh* Terrible bounce as well, why wasn't it called back?
  22. Genuinely think we're a chance if we start well. However I can see guys like Cox, Kerr and Hunter killing us, especially Kerr.
  23. He's not really a centre square midfielder unless you can release him into space because he can't win the hard ball due to his size, but my god he's a good kick. Very good move from Bailey and Flash is really showing us what he can do. He will get harder tags (The Crows will definitely tag him this week) but if he uses his pace properly and we try and bring him into the game with plenty of cheap handballs to him a la the way Geelong bring Ablett into games when he is (Very rarely) struggling.
