  1. For all those losing sleep over this, Watts was rumored to be going to the GC last year at the end of the season (Though to be fair nowhere near as much speculation as Scully has had) and he signed in the offseason. I have faith he'll stay with us .
  2. Nothing has changed in the mindset of the players. Takes a roast in the media to lift, and next week back to the same old [censored]. I don't care who was out, we were five goals up now they are smashing us.
  3. Can't believe I tipped North, still early days though. This is our best start at the dome for years o_O .
  4. **** this club, no improvement at all. Hawthorn have tried their hardest to lose but we still can't help them out there. I actually don't think I'll even bother with a membership this year, meant to be 10 years in a row but mediocrity is getting extremely frustrating.
  5. That is wrong, Jon Ralph follows Geelong.
  6. Bruce was good that day yes (He beat Hodge for 90% of the day), but Bruce was playing in Grimeys position for the 2nd half of the year, and I'm pretty confident in saying even though Grimey still has a way to go he's better than Bruce right now. We would have beaten the Hawks fairly easily if it had stayed dry that day IMO. When you watch the game every time the sun was out we were all over them, but when it rained and made it more of a stoppage game they were just too good in close for us.
  7. Stanley would be a terrific get but seriously doubt the 'Aints would let him go easily. Hale would be a good one to go for, I reckon North would be happy to trade.
  8. Oh God please win. I can't stand 5AA commentary, I can't stand Adelaide and their boring team, I just want to finally win there FFS. 5AA are awful. 'Matthew Warnock was going to be a ruckman before he went back'. WTF?
  9. Neagle/Dawes/Dowler/Hale (Although Hale is contracted) would all be worth chasing for the right price IMO. TBH I wouldn't mind if we traded our first round pick for one of those guys.
  10. I don't think umpiring cost us at all, but the consistency was awful. Scully runs down Reid and play on, Melbourne player then is pinned under a pack and HOTB is paid. Bizarre.
  11. Green just had an off day. Jaded, I can understand what you are saying, but I don't think Green has ever had issues with 'pressure' kicking for goal, just ask Carlton .
  12. Swan was the rumored out for Collingwood with a groin strain. I'd imagine Frawley will play, if there was any issue with his back surely we'd take no risks with the week off coming up.
  13. It'd have to be Lyon. Neita kicked 9 2-3 times IIRC, and Farmer had the famous 9 in a quarter and a half against Collingwood in 2000.
  14. I think the club is taking a conservative approach with him. From the sound of it he could have almost played tomorrow. I think he'll have a week at Casey then straight back into the team. I'm not an expert on injuries or fitness training but I'd imagine he would still be able to do cardio with a shoulder injury?
  15. Completely agree. North should have focused on the scoreboard rather than the man. It was pitiful how their supporters clapped them off at half time.
  16. I think he will be the closest thing we've ever had to an Adam Goodes. Play him on the wing and let him push forward, now he has added that desperate and hard edge to his game (No longer shirks it) I think he is the complete player. Will probably take a few more weeks to get back to his best but that is expected.
  17. I thought his issue on Friday night was too often he tried to thread the needle in terms of his kicking when really you shouldn't do that on a wet night (Unless you have 36 on your back). Generally a very good kick and I don't see a major issue with his disposal.
  18. Was just wondering how Blease is going? Has he picked up another injury or is he at Casey? Sorry if this has been already posted but I haven't heard anything about him for some time.
  19. God I hope the players don't have this attitude about the ground. A ground that is a few meters smaller than the MCG should not lead to an 80 point turnaround like it did yesterday.
  20. Highlights are up on Youtube mate. The 2nd half is there somewhere as well.
  21. I'd have Frawley on Fev BRFE, don't think Warnock would have the pace. If they get quality delivery, they'll carve us up, so we have to win the midfield battle to just stand a chance. We've got a small chance, we have to start well. It will be nice to have the crowd behind us though, let's try and get a good crowd for this game!
  22. Wow this is disappointing. It appears we have gotten worse if that was possible.
  23. Agree with most of the thread, you don't earn respect by getting beaten twice over 50 points against the same team.
