Power Clubs have Training & Social Facilities Together
beelzebub replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
short of a public cafe there are NO social amenities incorporated into the new Messendon training facility -
and Im not refering to these ....

why ? A player like Nathan Jones probably has half the natural elite abilty of a Colin Sylvia. I know who id want if given a choice. one seems to zone in and out according to whim, seem a one directional player and has never proven the match winner he ought to be. Then there's jonesy who just gives his all and more and aspires to be better. Colin is a lazy shlt of a player in this respect as he doesnt work hard enough and plays well within limits never seeming to want to lift them. if Col stays and Roos can get him revved up then we may get a few years of decent footy out of him. If he goes Im happy to take the compo again.. i dont really care, The favours and fortunes of this club dont pivot on Sylvia

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

Must admit the thing about scholarshps is a bit of nothing. As you say PJ they are all up to it and have been for ages. It was the nefarious dropping of the boogey-man's name in Danks i thought either worrying and/or humorous. -
He is actually one of a number of players who might step up but will do so only when others around him do likewise. It will be that synergy thing. There may well be a Roos effect. stay/go.. whatever, not fussed

Chrlst I hope they havent buggered him up. Looking forward to his presence on the fileld once again. Quite a few stand taller when hes out there. Clark Dawes Hogan.....could be anything Get back out there Mitch....put your camera down son lol

Am looking forward to the next Dee v Swines A rivalry reborn

well...actually he did ..Think about it edit Watts decision was all about Roos in a way Sylvias decision is nothing about Roos per se and all about what Col thinks is best for Col and where he might garner more lollies and stuff in the marketplace. Thats why he hasnt signed. He's waiting. As an aside from our ( club ) perspective Roos may well be able to extract a bit more. Thats not why Cols waiting GNF

hed played 71 for the filth before arriving...but even that isnt 70...close but wrong. Seems someones totally got things a bit f'd up !! lol

then there's no agreement at all. The AFL might want to have a quiet word to Colless and explain the 'agreement" again
-
If for no other reason than putting all on notice Id like to see the club push the Swans in respect to Dew..i.e Bring the AFL to bear weight on them and uphold the protocols. We mightn't take him but we should let all know now we mean business, and we wont be pushed around..In fact, we'll do the pushing.

Some interesting new thngs in there, and some very old. Inducements..scholarships?? tame shlt. My old alma mater was notorious for awarding half and full scholarships to anyone who could swim better than OK. It was common knowledge that you didnt have to be the brightest or sharpest but it you could cut a wake welcome ....lol The worrying aspect of that article was the alluding to "Sports Science/ Enhancement programs" sadly I dont think theres much new here either, just possibly some have access to better "vitamins" -
pretty funny.

Almost humorous how in the past, in our guise as the pathetically pushed overed play-alongs all the other clubs didnt really take much notice or care of us. Oh, they're Melbourne ( snigger snigger ) dont worry about them . Now, a different beast is emerging and already they dont like it. Isn't it great !!! Theres much to do and I wont get too far ahead of where we still are but the direction is clear and the intent made manifest. We arent here to make up the numbers any more. Given who Roos has sought as his staff and heir apparent it will be interesting to see how that translates into the players he seeks to bring on board. I do like the off season but even so, this is REALLY REALLY interesting times I dont do man crushes HH....I simply have a respectful fondness for the bloke lol

Roos the Musical !!!! hmmm ...lol

The club/Roos are being proactive in recreating this place ( MFC) as a destination of interest for the upcoming silly seasoned circus. Good work !!

There's talk on the street; it sounds so familiar Great expectations, everybody's watching you People you meet, they all seem to know you Even your old friends treat you like you're something new Yep.......there's a new kid in town A Demon !!!!

If Colin was particularly excited to have Roos on board he would have signed by now. No, I suggest he fully intends to open the door and have a look around first. he might be disappointed as to his options. Im really totally apathetic towards this player now. Stay, go , whatever. I'll trust the clubs judgement ( now)
