  1. Horses and courses though TAtu.. Sort of shopping from more than one store with differing budgets. As I mentioned elsewhere and in line with your notion of ruthless recruiting Id take the Watts money and whatever is needed from Chips paypacket and go kidnap a really good mid. Literally go with a fistful of dollars. An offer hard to refuse .
  2. take Watts money and some of Chips..and go kidnap a decent Mid. Make a huge difference I agree LC
  3. Theres certainly far more than meets our eyes regarding the little game Jackson and Roos have been playing.
  4. He ( KH ) was still playing Rugby whilst on the GC payroll ffs.. Had some skills to play AFL but he was here for the money...dont kid yourself otherwise. His heart is as a Rugger and thats what the kids will remember when considering a code possibly./.. yeah nah I'll stick with Rugby thanks ......fail !! Kennelly gave his all to the game. Rising Star, premiership, on-off field leadership and mentoring chalk and cheese....or probably Guinness and Flossies !!
  5. Hes going back ti a game he LOVES. One hes more genetically suited to ( his words ) Epic fail for mine Hell be remembered for playing Rugby. All the rest was sports prostitution.
  6. Sharks players shown 30 pages of ASADA documents before taking deal An interesting article from Roy Masters. Obvious League bent but it shows ASADA are learning. Ironically the way it handled the AFL component (orignally) was in Vlads mind the template for how its to be done but obviously the latter approach as shown to the NRL paves the way to successful implementation of the code. I would think that ASADA now seeing how that went might use the time it has until Middleton J delivers his deliberation to 'fine tune" their process and shore it up prior to slapping Essendon.
  7. Yes and no...not everyone bought it Also happy for him to go ......Goodbye Mr Chip..............no tears though
  8. begs lots of questions... why play the bastard ?? truly. if the club wants to set a bar...heres an easy one to set

  19. Mate, in all seriousness.... I do actually consider these things as entirely different: Part of reasoning. Jack commands a healthy ticket ( not commensurate with his ticker ) Though Roosey 'says' he;s doing his role ; I and quite a few others who have watched and played the game for many years are absolutely at a loss as to what that role is, if he's doing ok. We can think of lots of things if hes stuffing up.Makes lot more sense, no more palatable , but more sense. He needs fresh air, a new environment etc etc ...pls refer to Watts thread 1-99 lol You know what I mean. Agrre or not there are the arguments over there >>>> There's a role for a tagger and a lock down defender ...or a run to man in the old days ( maybe still is ) But we lack a lot of players with any verve and a sense of going FORWARD. They're afraid all but. What I see a player like Raines as able to do , even if as a stop gap is to provide that bit of run of the half back and actually have an idea of what to do.hes an older head, calmer than a spring chook etc. He doesn't have to star, just perform a role. Roos likes roles , so he came to mind. youre turn ...jab away Going back to Watts for a sec, His potential departure would free up a bit of cap . That money can go towards who ever we need to throw money at. Raines we'd get for a pittance by comparison. Raines may only be considered a possible B ore a C grader but given the plethora of D and E's its a baby step up...for nothing. By all accounts he's pretty straight up and instantly provides a bit more experience around the club. I'm happy to be wrong, just thought you might enjoy/deserve my explanation, Hows those planes going !!
  20. Been my contention for years !! ATO probably won't see it that way
