Its not a case of having no idea as he , King, plainly has some idea. The nature of the article was lazy. His assertion that Roos will be judged upon season '15 is quite frankly ridiculous. Roos will be judges upon how he prepares the team for the next coach etc. So from my seat i reckon 1) hes wrong from the outset in this instance and 2) tries to back his assertion with ambiguous stats. Yeah...all the makings of top notch journalism there.

Strangely the only thing of concern about Jones' request is the length of it. Id almost go the other way and offer a 4 +1+1 with the last 2 years definitely subject to performance, fitness and standing at club..i.e the old Chestnuts of incentives etc He'll be 27 when he hits the park next year.....just saying Yep in his prime. Deserves better pay than getting...all things equal write him his check. 3 mill over 4 and we'll look at the last 2 when we get there.

ASADA will actually be leading this tribunal. The AFL is positioning itself...thats all this is about. It cant keep the nudge nudge winks its given its mates now. What we do need is about 4 Adam Goodes types ( as footballers ...not his other 'qualities')..i.e tallish , stronger utility types. This is to say they will try to strike a balance between what they should do and what they want to do. What they should do is let ASADA deliberate and decide the penalty...AFL issue it. What the AFL will want is to send the EFC to the naughty corner til march and 'fine " players something negligable and a slight slap on the wrist. The AFL has been playing funny buggers and 'mates' ever since they got whiff. The AFL are about damage control.. WADA/ASADA is about right and wrong. Vastly different things. Well q30 if the players think its real now....they have a whole NEW reality coming their way
