  1. I get the impression Paddy sees Geelong as being 'home' . I can understand that. He'll be looked after. He'll be set for life and theres more than footy .
  2. It will still end up benefitting Geelong. They GET Dangerfield. And it seems for less than others might have paid. They're not losing here.
  3. Should have named him Crawford...he could play !
  4. Dee-luded...that may well be the case but what to me it is saying SANFL is playing last century footy. Personally i prefer it. Much bettet game to watch. Players flourish in space and time. AFL needs to revert at least partially to this and possibly the new rotation limits might go somewhere towards that. But right at the moment the SA game, for mine , doesn't prepare players well fir the AFL. Not that that ought be their intent. Just what is. It used to be that time pkaying at senior level , against real blokes, would galvanise the young talent and give them an advantage when being looked upon for the AFL. I now think it works against them. Most youngens from SA that HAVE kicked on...didnt play much or ANY senior footy it seems to me.
  5. Spencer Who
  6. He'd get to'coast' a bit closer to Westernport than PPB !!
  7. i saw what you did there !!
  8. clubs do indeed. Apparently Howey baby has been doing his own lil promo for a while. That little double act with his manager...kicking goals there. Doesn't seem to be any takers at where he thinks his ability sits. That says everything really. Seems his decision making off the field resembles that on field. I dont ask anyone to agree with me. I don't rate him nearly as high as some here on DL do and am miles off where the man himself sees his value. They're just opinions; his as much as mine. I dont think hes happy playing back and imho was seeking fwd time in another team. No one seems that interested atm. If he stays with us he'll need to pick his socks up and round out his game a bit. He might struggle to find a relevant role otherwise.
  9. Barassi left. His value wasnt over pitched. Barrasi was the comensurate footballer of his era. Howe is a 1 and 1/2 trick pony who likes to fly...likes to kick goals...and is a bit of a dab hand at f@@%ing things up. I see where ya going...but...yeah...NAH
  10. Be happy as a start to just see him back on the park.
  11. has been for years now
  12. I only want those who really want to play for us. He (Howe) seems more interested in howe much he can get. As some suggest possibly this reality check may reboot his intensity and focus. That said i'd actively facilitate shopping him for someone more 'grounded'. Just my opinion of course.
  13. Bluey I think youll find this blokes job is more about educating the educators
  14. the WADA appeal to CAS starts Nov 16

  19. we really do need a sarcasm icon don't we
  20. yeah....cant se anythig untoward as potential 'icing" there at all !!! lol
  21. a lot is about how the coaching works..not so much the players per se in this instance.. All about delivery of info etc
  22. Yes..granted. What I noticed was the haste. Not sure if anyone else ever notices ( yes Im sure many do ) but a lot of things on the MFC website take a while to change. Yes it could be purely coincidental that the two stars took over the wall paper but I think its very much about positioning identities..i.e those that WILL be around in 2016. Supposedly according to the great unwashed ol Howey is one of our greatest drawcards..a PR dream etc etc etc Again..was more just my first reaction....right or wrong
