  1. the Lions are still going to want to go into the draft with some chance of getting a decent pick. Doubt they will hand over 8. Never hurts to ask though !! lol
  2. surely not in a playing capacity ?.. we're going for youth arent we?? lol
  3. now that makes more sense to me.. couldnt understand the Shaw thing...now I do.. pick 14 ?? hmm Ol' Bails really had it in for Trap. Still thats now 2 first round picks...curiouser and curiouser!!
  4. Its not like we're trying to double cross the crows !! theyve known all along what they might get !!
  5. Id agree with the first half.. but not the second, there were times he was all but the only one on the field bleeding for th ejumper.....and yet this still hasnt been enough in hindsight Good luck Trapper.. enjoy the surf !!
  6. is this some kind of weird prank ?? I dont have a problem with trapper going.. but how on earth does Rhyce Shaw come into it. a very aerage plodder on a good day. ( and thats being kind !! ) must be weird wednesday !!
  7. you may have wanted to have checked out http://demonland.nozzs.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=8041 its not a done deal til Kennedy decides !!
  8. not that I particularly think Gardner is going anywhere and I think he's doing quite ok.,, but Bev is a nother beast entirely. She is , how shall I put this ..much more of a footy person. Paul hangs back some ( that sfine ) . I would think Bev might be a bit mor ehands on !! Just a personal observation
  9. our midfield is full of unfulfilled promise !!! <_<
  10. I miss Chilly Boy !! ....lol.. come back.,...all is forgiven...we need our daily laugh !!
  11. Kennedy has yet to commit one way or other.. for Carlton much hinges on this decision. I might be wrong bit I think Kennedy is origianlly from the west. He might opt to join a successful team still with realaspirations or remain with a bunch of f**ked up tankers with tickets on themselves !!! If Kennedy could swing a possible renegotiation of his contract it might indeed be to his advantage to go. I mean...wouldnt you want to be getting out of princess park as quick as you could ???? lol :D :D :D
  12. I have long stated that no one is essentially untouchable. I will continue with that. However with the opportunities comes the resposibility to get a good trade. To me...a good trade is where we gain. Like for like is no advantage what so ever unless its a surplus in one area for a requirement in another. For mine any club is going to struggle to offer something to our advantage in trading Jared. as they say ... in this instance ....... "" NO DEAL !!!!! ""
  13. any game is a horses for course adventure. The track and needs will change during the game. At teh right time , right circumstances R & C is a weapon of availabilty.Needds to be used well though. its like any other as pect of the game...Tempo, Flood..etc.. all have their place !!!
  14. I have no real problems with run and carry, when implemented well ( and wisely ) but surely its only one bow in the quiver and not THE complete style of play .
  15. If nothing else but as an armchair spectacle this year is far and away more interesting than many before. As usual the actual amount of trades wil be but a fraction of those mooted but there are many more "possibilities' this year. I wonder if this cant be a sign of frustration by a number of clubs regarding either the general success of the club involved or the lack of prgress exhibited by some and certain players. I suppose by the very nature of trading there has to be a number of teams wiling to participate. Quite curious that it seemed as though some teams were neither comitted to ,nor reticent to trade but took the opportunity to jump in once a couple of key players announced intentions. How Melboure ends up in the wash after all this is still conjecture. Meeson seems the only deal likely to date but as usual I expect much to come down to the wire as the mad "2 oclock" scramble comes on Friday!!! If nothing else a loud and succint message is being blasted through the sleepy hollow of Junction Oval, 2008 will be different !!
  16. its not al ldoom and gloom in those years look who else was around at 5,6, and 7 2006 Travis Boak, Mitchell Thorp and Joel Selwood 2005 Scott Pendlebury, Beau Dowler and Patrick Ryder 2004 Lance franklin,Tom Williams, Jordan lewis ( Meeson was next !! ) 2003 Our Brocky, Kepler Bradley and Kan tenace 2002 Jarrad McVeigh, Steven Salopek and Andrew Mackie 2001 Xavier Clarke, Asheley Sampi and David Hale....Bartel was next !! point is there was still talent around...just depends who ya pick and for why!! pick 4 is still very very handy !!
  17. Ash... has he be played down back ( even in intraclub etc ) ?
  18. why ?? It states he's in the leadership group, yes he'l lneed a bit of 'therapy" but if he thoguth he might be a look-in in next year he'll have to wait another year beofre being considered. Bruce Green mentoined almost as afterthoughts. If Brocky wasnt being conseidered for teh job none of his "trip" would have mateered one way or the other. so again..how have i read it wrong?
  19. http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/com...5E19742,00.html take from this what you might, as with any piece of journalism there is the chance of mistaken enthusiam for the stor but you sort of get the idea that its Brocky short of him declaring war on the rest of the world ( or vice versa!! lol ) Green ,Bruce mentioned most likely to add credence without expectation. At least they seem to going the logical route of maintaining Neeta for 2008 in the big role.
  20. Keep in mind this is an attitude, not a gaurantee that anyone is staying. He's also keen on Trapper pulling his finger out whilst at the same time putting him up for trade. All i see at the moment is Bailey 'keen' on building up good younger stocks whilst weeding out those that arent shining to the desired lux !!
  21. The hard simple fact is... Hes up for trade.. You can dance around that however you like. You can come up will all the sob stories you like but if the club is fed up.. thats good enough for me.. !!
  22. yeah the odds are terrible.. Only a 1.3 Billion of them !!
  23. The Saints to be honest are probably interested i n anything from Bill the butchers second cousin who " can kick a bottler" to Maisy the Gorrilla who they can pick up with any of their Daft picks !! i wouldnt read too much into that.. ... the Saints make us look like geniuses in draft week !!
