you could argue that at the start of the year next year: B: Jetta - Dunn - Garland HB: Howe - T. McDonald - Salem C: vandenBerg - N Jones - Vince HF: Watts - Dawes - Kent F: Frost - Hogan - Garlett Foll: Gawn - Tyson - Viney I/C: Trengove - Brayshaw - Petracca Sub: JKH is our best 22... (cross presumably having retired.) easily arguable that if not best 22, those injury list players would be in our top 25.

vandenberg is an obvious out, and fitz has no match up. newton and matt jones did very little today. OUT: fitzpatrick, vandenberg, m jones IN: tyson, anb, michie newton very lucky. toumpas runs to the right spots to get the ball, but he's a turnover merchant. he has company in that regard throughout the entire playing group.

If Francis and Schache do go top two, picking up Weitering or a mid will be a very, very big decision (on the presumption we have a top 3 pick that we don't trade). I would absolutely be open to a Tyson / later pick for our first rounder situation again. -
Hopefully Trac is working on getting Grayza to the G to play for the red and the blue! One of my absolute favourite afl players. So skilled.

how bizarre was the pile of crap that he got for appearing on the show.

he looks big in the body.

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

well, that depends on where someone bids on the kids. no doubt mills will be bid on within the top 5, and hopper might too. then the clubs have to make up the points based upon a fancy algorithm. replays here: RD 2 in U-18 Champs - Full Replay Vic C vs Vic M: 1st Qtr: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2015-06-07/under-18s-vicc-v-vicm-q1 2nd Qtr: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2015-06-07/under-18s-vicc-v-vicm-q2 3rd Qtr: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2015-06-07/under-18s-vicc-v-vicm-q3 4th Qtr: http://www.afl.com.au/video/2015-06-07/under-18s-vicc-v-vicm-q4 -

What role did he play today? -
Collingwood - Scharenberg and Freeman last year, Moore this. Although all three are more recurrent injuries than the whole year out sort of thing.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
whatwhat say what replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
if footscray offered mitch wallis, jack macrae, jake stringer, or the bont for him i hardly think we'd be saying no... we need midfielders with pace and skill. theirs are their best players. -

Fourth round pick. At best. He's more value to us as a depth player than as trade bait, as at least we know what we will get from him and he's better than our current depth players. -

Definitely looking like a tall crop in 2015: - Weitering - Schache - Francis - Weideman All likely top 10ers at this stage. We need mids but if a class tall is there, it would be super tempting. -

hoping to see tyson come straight back into a winning side after queen's birthday game, and anb to debut too. -
what is hilarious is to hear eddie supporting carlton.

i reckon that's career over for chris judd - if he's not done his acl, he's certainly done a medial. looked painful and then settled, which is usually the classic sign of an acl. sad way to go out.

Can't see Tucker going that high if he remains playing the half back role rather than moving through the midfield. And there's little likelihood Partington will go top three. He's a solid, know-what-you-get mid, and they very, very rarely go that high - I see him as low first round / high second. Think Dunstan - in theory should be able to play afl level straight away, but doesn't have the upside of Parish, Balic, or Ah Chee for instance. -
What about Col Garland's signature?
whatwhat say what replied to Neitz the Great's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we get a pick tied to our second round pick - so 20-25 - I'd probably let him go, and wish him luck that he can play in a premiership. As I said in the Lumumba thread, we have too many players who have third tall roles. -
he points all the right fingers. he can't kick, he doesn't tackle (unless it's high), and he's not playing the link-up role that i expected, nor is he playing the half-back sweeper role that he did at the pies - perhaps these are all indicators that he's not the wingman we wanted, or he's going to take a while to adjust to the caper. unfortunately we seem to have a surfeit of 'third tall' defenders who're expected to cut off attacks, sweep, and rebound the footy but all struggle to hit a target consistently and impact the play - garland, grimes, lumumba, howe all play essentially the same role. the latter struggles to kick down back, struggles to get a kick when up forward, h as mentioned can't hit a target either, and we've had grimes and garland battling away for the entire time we've been a shockingly poor side. i still think we need two to go. garland could walk as a free agent, potentially netting us a pick tied to our second rounder (so somewhere in the 20-25 range, more than likely) whilst gws wanted howe for pick 7 last year, so he must have some value. big decisions await this post-season.
