Going inside mid has completely changed his game He looked lost playing as a flanker and I was seriously questioning his role in the side Well it’s clearly an inside mid ball-hunting beast Now it’ll be interesting to see how he’s valued by our club and others

both shiel and martin are in contract and we don't have the assets to trade for either of them shiel will be a free agent at the conclusion of his next contract, as may be martin better to wait til then

very happy to see gus have a great game last week after a second week in the guts i had massive doubts on his role in the team as a half back / half forward, but his work in the square was great however, for mine he is a long way behind petracca in terms of being a quality top level afl player this was his best game by a mile, but let's see him do it regularly

His best game for the club Still a titch fumbly at times when the pressure was on early, but he settled nicely and it was brilliant to see him not just up-and-under kicking it regularly Keep going Gus

i still don't rate him but his third quarter was what i expect of him unfortunately the other three quarters were diabolical he's no better than toumpas with his skills, and he's slower than trengove whatever we get for him at the end of the year will be a win

The issue is they planned for him to be in the box in 2018 It’s lasted four weeks So either the plan hasn’t worked and they’re reverting to 2017 set up or the communication inside the box with him as part of it has been problematic Either result is not great imo

Brayshaw not Hogan, obviously Pretty sure that Hogan will be a free agent at the end of 2019, which is a bit scary

If we can get a first round pick for Brayshaw I couldn’t sign the paperwork fast enough Just don’t rate him

at one stage he was so highly rated as a youngster, so fingers crossed his ceiling is high and he gets there and then smashes thru it like it's a coburg player

this i also think it has to be factored in that he and curnow are very different sorts of players for us, hogan plays the curnow role weideman will ideally be able to pinch hit in the ruck as well as be a tall marking option it would be fab to have curnow, but it'd also be fab to have martin, fyfe, sloane etc. etc - we have to work with what we've got not worry about what we didn't i'm still convinced weid will be a very good player for us

no way the afl will split from asada if it means they stop getting all the govt funding that is a requirement for asada agreement

those patches posted by dedokter - but especially the first one - both get my vote as, like our current logo, they're only red and blue no white in our emblem thanks our current logo is my favourite of all of ours tho pure class:

it's going to be interesting to see where he fits into the side by the end of 2020 a permanent midfielder? a dusty-a-like who can switch btw mid and forward? a primary forward with occasional stints in the middle? just how good can he become - clearly he's a fairly exciting talent, but at the moment he only finished 7th in the b&f last year despite being now widely lauded by the stats boffins as a 'elite' for his position - remains to be seen but definitely one of the most exciting talents at the dees seen since, well, since jesse hogan joined the club
