  1. He wanted ridiculous money that only Carlton was prepared to pay him
  2. Won’t work; too poor by foot and doesn’t run defensively
  3. That 50% pay cut is only til June
  4. i imagine it was a difficult circumstance to play in, but that doesn't exclude the lack of effort and basic skill execution, not to mention the complete lack of cohesive game plan and structure if the season ever resumes, it will be interesting to see how we come back - after a seemingly positive pre-season, that was a massive let-down we did play the team that is likely to be right in premiership contention on their home deck in warm and extrezzo unusual conditions but my goodness...we ain't good
  5. our players pick and choose when to run and when not to do so laziest club in the competition
  6. nothing has changed bog ordinary player, massive disappointment
  7. saints turn to resemble witch's hats in the third quarter
  8. north look terrible
  9. very similar in size and shape to fritsch, melksham tho? he's had a very good first tho for sure
  10. nah, he was a supercoach favourite for d8 spot cos he's a cheap def / mid dpp option starcevich from the bears replaced him for most by friday evening
  11. doesn't need to be; just needs to be 6 foot 11 and kick straight! they've still got treloar and stephenson to come back in, and unfortunately for them their langdon looks like injury might curtail his career pendlebury has been such a brilliant player for so long now hard not to see them in the top four along with tiggas, meth coke, and gw$ - that sort of win against a potential finals team gives them a juicy percentage boost to start the season too
  12. so far, i don't mind the lack of crowd noise; muting the dreadful commentary from the ch 7 crew would help raise enjoyment levels, but i'm enjoying hearing the 'sounds of the game' sans audience participation thought the dogs would be far, far better than that - they completely looked incapable of winning contested footy, not what i expected at all they're going to have to do well to recover their season - in what's already a truncated year that is likely to be further reduced, that's the sort of hammering you really can't afford to have grundy showed once again why he's the second best ruckman in the game; bad kicking is bad football
  13. Mr Bungle, FNM, Fantomas, Tomahawk, or warbling Italian opera version?
  14. The Burgess effect? https://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/579184
  15. dogs still can't perform outside
  16. slobbo has taken a look at gus https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/expert-opinion/mark-robinson/who-is-the-real-angus-brayshaw-the-2018-version-or-the-2019-version/news-story/bd91a2dc61495f2e97e789f0a8beaaee i'm not a particular fan of brayshaw - too sloppy in his disposal, jogs from contest to contest - but i'm hoping that he bounces back big time in 2020
  17. that's 6:40pm melbourne-time, i believe so 3:40pm perth time
  18. iT's TrAdiTiOn!!
  19. Zero As is the dream of Tasmania and NT having sides
  20. interesting line-up small forward line is in vogue
  21. well jones and salem out is a shame but it's great to see pickett and bedford - our first nga graduate to the afl? - to debut B: Jetta - May - Lever HB: Harmes - O Mac - Hibberd ? Langdon - Petracca - Tomlinson HF: Melksham - T Mac - ANB F: Weideman - Fritsch - Pickett Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Viney I/c: Brayshaw - Bedford - Brown - Lockhart Emerg: Jackson - Spargo - Sparrow - Hore ?
  22. at the time it looked very similar to the injury that melksham did last year; seems to be very similar in terms of diagnosis? very sad for him decisions for 2021 will be difficult
  23. it should suit teams who win contested footy and those capable of scoring quickly - i reckon the dogs could benefit big time the 16 mins plus time on is all a set up so that - if we do get to this position - that they'll be able to have 3 games in 10-14 days for teams for rounds 5, 6, and 7 IF they can get thru to then - and it's a very big if - they'll have played 7 games in the first 6 weeks and they might take a winter 'break' as that could be around peak flu season next trick is to wait and see if a player comes down it; the minute one does, it's a two week hiatus - minimum - for the competition
  24. given the nature of the upcoming afl 2020 season seems like it's going to be closer to afl x, perhaps we should get him back?
