  1. Stretch works hard but is just another average user by foot We have so many of em
  2. Good grief Melbourne Only we could have 97% time in forward half and be behind after 5 minutes of play
  3. Tyson was fine in absolutely awful conditions He worked hard offensively and defensively and gave second efforts Really, that whole mid group - Tyson, Bugg, AVB (in two and a half quarters), JKH (who also got forward), and Baker - was super strong Very impressed with Filipovic’s second efforts too, even if Preuss was the dominant ruckman on the ground AVB will be back in the seniors sooner rather than later if he can maintain that kinda form...you’d never believe he’s missed two years of football
  4. tyson has wracked up the pill in atrocious conditions - ran hard both ways all day held a team goalless go dees
  5. this weather is extraordinary my main interest is seeing whether or not we can hold them goalless
  6. too small and slow to play midfield and not skilled or quick enough as a small forward option avb will, on this form, be playing afl before the year is out
  7. how many weeks in the vfl before vandenberg makes his way back into the afl? so strong and powerful
  8. i have wafl and sanfl as options to watch, but no vfl... anyone got a direct link?
  9. i'd rather be their supporters than ours over the last 12 months...
  10. they have not been 'absolute shite' for some time four finals series out of the last five, winning on their fourth entry they steadily improved thru hardwick's first three or four years, dipped, and have rebounded to be as amazing as they are their consistency of not having injured players - or not key structural players at that - has been amazing
  11. he's an absolute gun love his workrate offensively and defensively and he is a brilliant kick of the ball good in the air, good at ground level what's not to love?
  12. pretty simple @beelzebub - tv rights deals around the world are shrinking this is the opportunity for us to get a home base before the big money of the last 15-20 years becomes a trickle rather than a flood
  13. ultimately, getting this - or any other permanent 'home base' - in place by the start of the defining of the next broadcast rights deal is the test for the bartlett-pert regime if we don't have a dedicated home in planning stage by the end of 2021 season we are in big trouble
  14. gaff or dalhaus for mine
  15. Said that in this thread a couple of times He is consistently a 15-25, 4-6 mark, 1-3 goal a game player - not sure he’s ever going to be anything else When he’s at the upper end of that he looks outstanding, but even at the lower end he’s still contributing
  16. the push to have a bye post-darwin continues: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/melbourne-want-a-break-after-darwin-games-20180705-p4zpoj.html
  17. dunno if it was stretch - i was watching and then the vid disappeared as they removed it ch 7 won't be happy that they've gone early and broken the 6.25pm moratorium on team changes
  18. carlisle punctured lung getting a massage (!!) and bruce a broken leg for the aints
  19. they put the simon's selections video up early on youtube and then yanked it down garlett, spargo, frost and one other (can't remember who) for hannan, petty, weideman, and tyson
  20. i'll take an ageing lewis and vince over wagner, anyday
  21. seeing as we were all set to pick billings, while kelly would now be at the aints...i'll say no
  22. north melbourne
  23. the champion data dudes think we completely misuse him - they reckon he should basically be an 80% forward 50 player, as historically that's where he's shown to be the most damaging
