  1. toumpas' year as a premiership player in 2011 with woodville-west torrents in the sanfl as a 16 year old in his fifth game at senior level was sensationally exciting toumpas in 2011: he was lean, quick, and a really neat kick who was capable of being a 75 metre player - he'd run 25 with a couple of bounces and roost it 50 his year as a south australian skipper in 2012 was absolutely sensational; he was being talked about as a likely top two pick and compared to nathan buckley aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then he had a double hip operation between the end of the championships and the draft period and he was never the same again - he lacked power in his legs both from a running and a kicking perspective he has never had any trouble getting a heap of the pill at both sanfl and vfl level...unfortunately, he's proved to be far from afl-level...compare above at 16 to his farewell from port video: his body shape has never developed and he now looks undersized when compared to his contemporaries unfortunately he would appear to be another in a long line of players who are good enough for a lower level but not the top echelon

wasn't the choice btw him, salem, and lewis taylor with pick 9 way back when? his body has been pretty good for the last two years, at least from a soft issue perspective i wonder if we'll kick the tyres...
  3. me too gawn, oliver, t mac, lever and hogan
  4. the (not) funniest part about this fiasco is the crowd is only predicted to get to 80k - so why is it so hard to get a ticket to a 100k seat stadium?
  5. massive flow on effects of pushing the afl club member sales over to tomorrow, which is when afl member sales are meant to begin, then gen admin sales... what sort of servers are they using, i wonder? obviously not scalable aws ones!

he ain't wrong tho we're out of the running due to the sheer $$ being offered to him by north he either takes half the pay offered to him by them and stays at meth coke or he's a shinboner for the next six to seven years
  11. De Goey gets named in the 40-man All-Oz squad and Petracca, with basically identical (if not slightly better) numbers, is the next Col’n Sylvia? Hm....
  12. 6: Gawn 5: Harmes 4: Salem 3: Petracca 2: Brayshaw 1: Frost
  13. no, i welcome the opportunity and challenge to take them on for a third time this year we've blown it both times previous - third time's the charm! both games so far this year have been super entertaining as a neutral as well
  14. watched on tv for the most part, and gee the second half was poor thought johnstone was - as goodoil noted - neat by foot, but he gets caught ball-watching a lot wagner probably the best of the demons from my spot on the couch, closely followed by pedersen there ain't much left when the likes of jkh and bugg are sitting on the sidelines awaiting late call-up against gw$
  15. poos&wees
  16. I can see why we’re keen on Langdon - has speed and goes both inside and outside the contest
  17. Yeah...like a Viney...
  18. Eh? $cully was out of contract and cos of the rules at the time was essentially a free agent for GW$ So we would always get Hogan as our compo for losing $cully was acquisition of the pre-draft selection, where we picked Hogan Completely different circumstance to what I am referring to; I’m talking about players under contract, e.g. Ryan Ferguson, who are told that they are no longer wanted and then refuse to be traded to Hawthorn when the deal is there, or Howe, who got mega-money offers from both the northern franchises but instead took less money than he was on at our club to go to the filth a year later when his contract was up As long as a player’s contract can be ‘honoured’ (e.g. length and value) then they should not have a choice when it comes to being traded out - it’s the logical converse effect of allowing free agency (e.g. a player can walk where they want when out of contract after a certain number of years service)
  19. The Hoff and Robbie Gray are two of the most unselfish and brilliant players in the competition Westhoff in particular is severely underrated everywhere outside of Alberton Port’s midfield is very one-paced outside of Polec - and it looks like he’s definitely on his way to North for their first round pick, which they are desperate to get rid of so that they aren’t forced to pay ‘overs’ for Tarryn Thomas
  20. nope you go where you're drafted, until you are a free agent oh, and if the team who holds your contract wants to ship you off elsewhere whilst you are under contract? sayonara! the only way free agency should continue to exist in the afl system is if the clubs have the power to trade players where they want whilst in-contract jeremy howe would currently be playing for gc17
  21. My tip is the peptides will play a fair whack of friday / thursday night football next year... I actually really don’t think they’re that ‘attractive’ to watch
  22. that's a crazy big change to drafting

i'd have him, happily, as as a free agent i think he'd add immediate depth to our side he'd get a game ahead of spargo, hannan, and possibly avb in our side i reckon if we can teach melksham how to be a gun, we could do similar with dahlhaus, and with mccartney there he'd know what sort of a person he is and how he'd fit into our side gaff should, absolutely, be the priority
