  1. get used to 16 min quarters plus time on it'll be the norm going forward i reckon
  2. 'brackets' mcgovern's one wood is his aerial strength - no way i'd want hibberd conceding a couple of inches to him hibbo is not a 'third tall' player really - he's a run and carry and boot it indiscriminately forward player
  3. isn't the vfl not happening in 2020?
  4. weed wasn't fit for rd 1 - nasty rolled ankle in the last winnie blues cup match blues have a relatively small forward line, i think, with curnow still out - is mckay the same? for mine it's a choice btw: IN: jones, salem, weideman OUT: bedford, o mac / hibberd / lockhart, brown the other one skating on thin ice for rd 2 alongside hibberd for me would be tomlinson - his one good escort wizard series game saves him from the chop for rd 2; if bennell really is fit and they chance the arm on him, he'd be the one to go for mine
  5. the worse take was the velvet sledgehammer's take on the dees in 2020 - he's a moron; seriously one of the worst commentators i've heard, just repeats generic info off the back of last season's stats he might've been a beautiful kick for goal as a player but geez he's a twit
  6. he shoots with the wrong hand!!
  7. you can just see it - we’ll have 75 f50 entries and kick 7.9 or something to lose by 13 points as they kick 10.7 from 25 entries....
  8. i'm still in the 'a lot can change in two weeks!' mindset it's a weird thing, that's fer sure be interesting to hear about who trains the house down in the next fortnight...which of course no one other than the coaches and direct admin staff will see, out in casey on their official list, they have: Eddie Betts Calf Charlie Curnow Knee Brodie Kemp Knee Harry McKay Groin Caleb Marchbank Knee Zac Fisher Ankle Matthew Kreuzer Foot Nic Newman Elbow as of a week or so ago, the scum was saying: Matthew Kreuzer (foot) is on track for a late season return and Charlie Curnow (knee) is done for the season but the Blues are confident Eddie Betts (hamstring), Zac Fisher (low-level syndesmosis) and Nic Newman (elbow) will all be ready by the week of June 11. i expect the latter three will all be good to go
  9. 98 we shoulda won the premiership 94 boded so well for the future...sigh
  10. the option to build over the train lines is the only one that actually makes sense from a feasibility perspective but absolutely none from a cost and convenience one if are ever are to get a joint admin / training base to happen - and i have my doubts - then the option is to hope pies outgrow their 'home' and we get the sloppy seconds of olympic park and the holden / etihad / mcguire mausoleum and if the filth ever do leave the precinct, my wager is on it going back to athletics australia, at a tidy profit to the pies...
  11. carlton should use cardboard, i think you mean? the filth should use an effigy of a crowd constructed solely from the teeth plucked from the mouths of their rabid hordes
  12. that wasn't a mark! you can't pay that?!??
  13. he really is a ghastly person
  14. when things are glum, there's worse to come!
  15. geelong's home games will be against: adelaide, brisbane, fremantle, gc17, port, sydney, meth coke and us
  16. they will continue to do so so that they don't have to have a separate production look at big bash as an example - in the first season of fox having cricket rights the entire bbl was done as a separate production, and then to reduce costs fox started taking the ch 7 feed rather than creating their own that'll definitely continue as they look to continue to reduce overhead costs of broadcasting kayo (sport), binge (drama, comedy, premium tv etc.) and eventually lifestyle will be three separate streaming services available
  17. there is just no pleasing some people i think it's great that he didn't dodge the question - it's clearly something we, as fans, know is an issue, and he says that we're trying to address it as best as we can given that we couldn't train for ages mahoney is a fantastic operator and continues to impress for mine
  18. can't see the tigers leaving punt road, but stranger things have happened!
  19. casey will have to be our home for the foreseeable future spending money on infrastructure is just not going to happen in these economic times
  20. i'm expecting a few changes from our rd 1 line-up... IN: jones, salem, weideman OUT: spargo, brown, lockhart can't see bennell being gtg
  21. i don't see how it's feasible to ditch goodwin at the end of 2020 regardless of our results we can't afford to pay out / negotiate a way out of two years of his contract, as he's signed til the end of 2022 i certainly wouldn't be looking at ross lyon as an option
  22. if anyone says we're closer than hawthorn tell em they're dreamin!
  23. not a bad bet
  24. what's the significance of the pink singlets?
  25. interesting to read that bennell is training with the 'second' mid group, of which jones is a part from the looks of the happy snaps, first mid group is gawn, oliver, viney, brayshaw, petracca, and tomlinson presumably one other as i think they're training in groups of seven?
