WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
weed's best game for us - geelong elimination final in 2018 - he basically played as a chf, roaming everywhere and doing some (minimal) relief ruck work

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
i think yr missing the point of what i said - he's worth the EQUIVALENT of a first round pick; he's an established regular goalkicker and it's not true that nobody else wants him; we were into him, as too were at least the aints and the peptides who both had 'dialogue' with him i think two picks in the 30-40 range is an absolute bargain for a top range full forward at his peak years

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
i'd personally have no issues giving two picks in the 30s - they'll end up being closer to picks in the 40s brown is easily worth a first round draft pick equivalent imo - he's ready to go and a gun, particularly if you compare with cameron over the last five seasons i think it's perfectly justifiable for north to demand more than pick 31 or 33, for instance, given the fact that gw$ are rejecting 3 first round picks for a player who has similar numbers to that which we'd be looking to give up two speculative picks in the 30-40 range

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
and hore i think it'll actually work out as... salem, hunt, hore, brown FOR pick 2 (josh kelly), pick 20 (which became 21, which was jarman impey)

Farewell Braydon Preuss
very happy with that bit of business!
-
Farewell Braydon Preuss
i nearly fell off my chair when i thought that was a done deal if we get anything under pick 50 from gw$ for preuss we'd have to be happy with that

Tom Phillips - Outside Skills and Speed
doesn't he want something ridic like $600k a year over the next four seasons? he's....just not that good
-
Farewell Mitch Hannan
more possessions + more goals = higher fantasy points it's primarily geared around high-possession mids and goalscorers supercoach is SLIGHTLY more measured - it accounts for effectively of possessions, as supercoach points = champion data ranking points but they're both still in favour of mids and goalscorers etc. it's not a fair way to measure a player's actual value, particularly for low-possession negating defenders

2020 Player Reviews: #24 Trent Rivers
with only 9 games played in 2020, he should be eligible for the rising star next season? should join the likes of - gulp! - jordan gysberts as a player who gets two rising star nominations in consecutive years oh, that's right...he didn't get one in 2020...

2020 Player Reviews: #26 Sam Weideman
still reckon he's gonna be a good 'n

TMac on the Trade Table?
he won't drop any salary for the next two years i thought we might get away paying $200k per annum but it would appear that we'll have to pay closer to $300-350k if he's on upwards of $700k guaranteed a year
-
Matt Parker
methinks they'll all be long-retired by 2031 :P billings is an rfa at the end of 2021, however, and would be every chance to leave the aints given how much they've invested in midfield stocks (brouch, hannebery, hill)

What a Premier looks like
the filth's 2010 and footscray's 2016 sides were completely - and mistakenly? - dismantled
-
AFL Trade Radio
salem is a far superior player to saad if salem played for one of the 'big teams' he'd be a lot more highly regarded
-
Adam Treloar
the higher pick you give up, the more the filth should pay give up a first rounder? pies should have a third of his salary going under their cap for the duration of the five years the fact that they only want to pay $100k of the rumoured $900k for 2021 and NOTHING after that for the remaining four years is a joke

Swiss Cheese Demons by Matt Rendell
i think we can all agree that rendell has no idea outside the collingwood list and - to a lesser degree - the adelaide list i'm just amazed he's yet to say something racist

Projected Best 22's 2021
there's a week of trade period and a draft and a pre-season to go; settle petal

2020 Player Reviews: #28 Oscar McDonald
i think he'll be picked up as a dfa by another club he could easily play another 80-100 games at afl level; he's not old, he's not terribly skilled, and he clearly has his head screwed on right i did love the synchronicity of the brothers being picked up by the same club using the same draft pick and both of them being whipping boys in a backline that was - for the most part - under constant strain due to the inadequacies of those further afield

Geelong’s continued assistance from state, federal, and local govt
about $210m over the last 15 years from various governments and other interested parties
-
Geelong’s continued assistance from state, federal, and local govt
it's handy to be in a marginal seat at state and federal level
