  1. he's a midget; he'll go to essendon
  2. with only 9 games played in 2020, he should be eligible for the rising star next season? should join the likes of - gulp! - jordan gysberts as a player who gets two rising star nominations in consecutive years oh, that's right...he didn't get one in 2020...
  3. still reckon he's gonna be a good 'n
  4. he won't drop any salary for the next two years i thought we might get away paying $200k per annum but it would appear that we'll have to pay closer to $300-350k if he's on upwards of $700k guaranteed a year
  5. methinks they'll all be long-retired by 2031 :P billings is an rfa at the end of 2021, however, and would be every chance to leave the aints given how much they've invested in midfield stocks (brouch, hannebery, hill)
  6. the filth's 2010 and footscray's 2016 sides were completely - and mistakenly? - dismantled
  7. salem is a far superior player to saad if salem played for one of the 'big teams' he'd be a lot more highly regarded

the higher pick you give up, the more the filth should pay give up a first rounder? pies should have a third of his salary going under their cap for the duration of the five years the fact that they only want to pay $100k of the rumoured $900k for 2021 and NOTHING after that for the remaining four years is a joke
  9. i think we can all agree that rendell has no idea outside the collingwood list and - to a lesser degree - the adelaide list i'm just amazed he's yet to say something racist
  10. there's a week of trade period and a draft and a pre-season to go; settle petal
  11. i think he'll be picked up as a dfa by another club he could easily play another 80-100 games at afl level; he's not old, he's not terribly skilled, and he clearly has his head screwed on right i did love the synchronicity of the brothers being picked up by the same club using the same draft pick and both of them being whipping boys in a backline that was - for the most part - under constant strain due to the inadequacies of those further afield
  12. about $210m over the last 15 years from various governments and other interested parties
  13. it's handy to be in a marginal seat at state and federal level
  14. i see the saints as around about the same as us tbh midfield is reasonably even: gawn - marshall & ryder / mckernahan petracca - steele oliver - brouch viney - hannebery brayshaw - ross langdon - hill i'd take our backline over theirs: may - howard lever - carlisle tomlinson - wilkie salem - coffield hibberd - geary rivers - long i'd probably take our forward line over theirs: brown - king weideman - membrey jackson - ryder / mckernahan & marshall fritsch - gresham pickett - butler hunt - billings where i think they are better than us is in experienced depth: harmes - z jones avb - battle spargo - kent baker - sinclair
  15. and sharing is caring
  16. i just don't see it based on what we've seen over the last several years, anb's best is better than narkle's and i don't see the former in our best 22, ideally, so i don't see how narkle is making us better i definitely think he'd add depth

zerrett is a significantly better user of the pill
  18. is he really all that and a bag of crisps? it's like the possible tom phillips acquisition; i just don't see anything amazing about this player; he can't make his current side, and in the case of narkle he reminds me too much of anb to get too excited about - he runs around a lot without doing much damage with the ball in hand
  19. that is comedy gold from essendon love it
  20. they should call that segment 'rendell rambles' cos really that's all he brings to it at least he hasn't managed to say anything that's outright racist...yet...
  21. gathering more points together to on-trade accordingly?
  22. off field we've been kicking goals for at least half a decade now if only the on field could reflect that
  23. free acquisition, break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type his game against grundy was awesome competes but is obviously limited
