  1. der-wayne will be barracking hard for the cows all game
  2. it looked pretty bad for sideshow bob he's having a rotten contract year, clearly not an mfc player
  3. looked pretty bad too however, north look better without him down there
  4. KEEP: may salem petracca jackson lever gawn oliver hibberd langdon melksham hannan tomlinson vandenberg jordan rivers weideman sparrow petty pickett lockhart TRADE / RELEASE TO FREE AGENCY OPTIONS: harmes viney brayshaw preuss t mac o mac anb fritsch smith LIKELY DELIST / RETIRE: jones spargo bedford kolodjashnij neitschke hunt baker hore chandler brown jetta c wagner j wagner bradtke dunkley obviously not all on the trade / release will leave - for instance if you trade brayshaw (likeliest option) then you'd ideally keep harmes and viney; the former would be unlikely to leave having just signed a new five year (!!) deal earlier this year, and now of course - as per most mfc players - his form line has flatlined fritsch is out of contract and still hasn't signed a new one; would another club be interested in him and be prepared to pay 'overs'? luke jackson will, undoubtedly, have the proverbial truck backed up to him by meth coke and freo over the next few years - could one of them come with an offer too good to refuse at the end of this season?
  5. so is the bont his set-shot goalkicking is worse than dangerfield
  6. i have no issues with fitness and trading coaching and recruiting doesn't appear to be working the bolded bit is why he can't stay on next season, when goodwin will really be being judged UNLESS the whole season goes to pot and then, as you say, they both should probably go
  7. oliver would have more value in a trade but i doubt we'd get anything close to what i'd value him for in terms of a pick we might get a second rounder for brayshaw, if we're lucky who needs a slow inside-only mid who doesn't really tackle? i'd say only carlton (as support for cripps) or essendon (as someone with a bit more brawn) would be interested
  8. o mac very stiff can't understand not keeping the backline the same yet continuing to pick jog and jones
  9. deliberate out of bounds is clearly the rule of the week
  10. I’m one of those who thinks we’re likely to stick with Goodwin unless this year really goes to pot But the GM of football and his assistant coaches are what needs changing
  11. gawn, petracca, oliver, and viney is the obvious four harmes SHOULD be in there as a tagger, and whether he starts on the inside or then comes off the flank to play as the fourth around the ball or alternatively starts in there and trac, clayton, and jack rotate in / out is an option i'm another who doesn't want brayshaw anywhere - he looks completely disinterested, and is slower and as poor a ball user as dom tyson
  12. he has gotta go at the end of this season
  13. footscray now as handball happy as we were thanks to the incredible pear pressure
  14. well i woulda tipped port, i think, but they've looked pretty flat - if footscray had kicked straight in that first quarter they'd be a mile up tigers? cats ....ugh.......them (i think we'll do what we always do, and gift a crappy team an easy win) the filth aints gw$
  15. hard to disagree with much the only thing i will vehemently disagree with is that our "core of players is excellent" we have three a-graders - gawn, petracca, and oliver we have three b-graders - may, salem, and - i'd argue - lever the rest are a lot of journeymen (jones, jetta, t mac, hibberd, melksham), nqrs (brayshaw, weideman, langdon, etc.) and pretty ordinary plodders (everyone else) after four rebuilds (07-09, 10-12, 13-18, 19-now) our list is still an absolute dog's breakfast
  16. so big max has done his back carrying the team on it like judd did his shoulders doing the same for meth coke, eh?
  17. when things are glum there's worse to come
  18. patrick cripps' kicking was worse than oliver's in his first few years and he's worked very hard to get it to a point where, after six years in system, he's still no better than 50/50 by foot still confident that oliver will go down in history as the best midfielder melbourne has had in a long, long time
  19. i've tempered my expectation of five changes from earlier in the week, still think we need to make some statements at selection however OUT: jones, brayshaw, t mac IN: bennell, tomlinson, avb
  20. nup, ask most peptiders what they think of him and they rate him the same way we have nate for the last 15 years - good honest servant who is ultimately a b-grader they much prefer zerrett, for instance
