  1. i'm more invested in him winning the aflca than the maggot award tbh
  2. i reckon he'd be a half-back sweeper, reading the play, intercept marking, and providing rebound sort of like lachie whitfield
  3. will be happy with a professional 42 point win want to see petty and roo dominate as tall forwards again to bank last week's performance our weight of power thru the midfield should be too much for the kangas you would think, but i'm not expecting to be quite as easy as last time we played them
  4. exactly dorks are the poster children for banking tanking to multiple premierships
  5. that footscray rightwinger darcy on commentary - "they are coming, port adelaide" they're literally over a goal in front
  6. do you drink it or collect it?
  7. thriller diller
  8. gw$ vs bloods a cracking contest
  9. pear might be two players down already - mckenzie a sore knee and marshall a - quelle surprise! - concussion test
  10. i think the problem is that a lot of the commentators simply don't watch much football they watch the games they commentate, sure, but otherwise they get the highlights and the clips that daniel hoyne and the champion data guys present to them it means that the narratives that they want to tell based upon what they have seen are reinforced
  11. this reminds me of when the dees ran all over the hawks in...2016? except, of course, filth haven't won a damn thing (getting in before @binman quotes and castigates me)
  12. bont isn't as good as petracca, oliver OR gawn
  13. i have a feeling we're setting ourselves up to be 2nd by the end of this round and not lose a game for the remainder of the year and stay there til the finals, meaning we won't play the filth until a prelim at the earliest i maintain that it's a completely different season once finals begin; anything can, and does, happen
  14. we sure did we also nominated heeney, but then swans matched - with pick 18 or something - and we drafted petracca
  15. footscray peptides crom? filth puddy tatts? gw$? us aints? bears? footscray were always going to be my tip before their hot start
  16. to bring it back to the topic at hand... With no proper chf May, lever and Tomlinson are going to destroy larkey and get a intercept mark record Clarko's first squad since returning, and the following things are notable: Cunnington in Turner not dropped (at least not immediately - still listed in squad) McDonald and Stevenson still named as starting on the field Not that it matters greatly, but Sheezel named in the Centre is interesting Tucker named in the forward line - believe that might be a first? No Cooper Harvey Anyone that pays attention to where people are named on the field is an [censored]. People who actually have the ability to pay attention know we do stupid things like name Powell at CHB. Its all cause our media department run a weekly comp to name the team, so we make the correct answer obscure. But you know, anyone with such a great ITK that tells you Noble wasn't getting sacked right before he got sacked would know what the club actually does. 40 points is just about party time territory. Last time we played these lads, in a 90 point loss, I high fived a bloke in front of me who was the only North fan in a Godees entourage. We were both delighted at everyone's fury that the margin ended up being under 100. Only time I'll ever be content with such a ****house performance gotta say, love that last one - i remember feeling like that just a decade or so ago!
  17. probably not which is why i expect hibberd to come in for tomlinson
  18. monetary fines mean very little at the end of the day
  19. sort of but...not really? i reckon we'll go ahead of bears on % this week anyway
  20. what role would he play for us? he doesn't have the running capacity of anb as an example, and i don't see him as a gut-running wingman a la langdon or hunter i'm not convinced his ball use is that good either, as per @DistrACTION Jackson's stats above
  21. it's all guess work at this stage, but i'll go the opposite - they won't given them free access to sanders but they will give them access to a high end compo pick for mckay
  22. goodwin's presser definitely makes it sound like grundy is up against it to return to the senior side
  23. playing at chb suits him - he plays a close-checking game on the mid-sized forward, as he's still as skinny as a rake reads the ball in flight well, and marks cleanly at the top of his reach his kicking leaves a lot to be desired; like, say, tomlinson, he's best suited kicking it 40-50m down the line as he can't hit a 25m pass on the 45 to save his life
