  1. this has always been my cynical take on it too waterman the same
  2. nathan 'freddy' kreuger could definitely play a role for us as a fwd / ruck i imagine the filth feel the same way about his potential role for them but he's constantly breaking down with injury
  3. both have played 'up' in their underage year - i'm confident both will be afl-level recruits in terms of riak, the rule SEEMS to indicate that he remains in our academy as he wasn't selected as an 'underage' recruit kid is still all of 19 currently, so hardly 'mature age'
  4. riak andrew's write-up in the rookie me central wildcard summary... #5 Riak Andrew Tall Defender | 192cm | 17/02/2005 Stats: 12 disposals, 7 tackles, 3 rebound 50s Having arguably been bested by Jobe Shanahan in their previous two meetings this year, Andrew faced the daunting task once more and kept Bendigo’s spearhead forward goalless for just the second time. The over-ager stuck tight to his direct opponent and was able to nullify his marking influence when Bendigo had the wind advantage. After some tough moments in term two, one of Andrew’s best moments was a rundown tackle late in the piece to exemplify his effort and intent.
  5. get jai in 2024, then target caleb in 2025? it's high time we get another quality player out of flagmantle - white, langdon... add serong we'd be ahead of the ledger (i'm ignoring chisholm and balic) with farmer and jackson the big names who've gone the other way? in some respected i'd prefer andy brayshaw to caleb serong, but they'd both be key to our midfield, as would hayden young be
  6. this anb is a leader and someone who will set a base standard for the others around him to aspire toward
  7. chaplin was excellent i thought as did the coaches
  8. was fyfe putting in that sort of performance in the wafl inside 10 games?
  9. it's almost like - shock! horror! - football is pretty unpredictable at the pointy end
  10. legend of a person, awesome player, brilliant leader trust in max to make the decision when he wants to relinquish the leadership
  11. for mine... 6: hore 5: mackin 4: pearce 3: mcnamara 2: chaplin 1: heath
  12. would be nice if we could get a htb go our way
  13. fantastic ball movement bannan's speed makes such a difference in the front half of the game
  14. took us a while to settle in but we're going okay i wish we had three kate hore's
  15. don't forget: - graham wright taking long service leave - (dei hire?) clare pettyfour leaving her much ballyhooed football dept role to return to mfc in media and comms role - craig kelly's impending court case for racist and sexist comments, as well as physical assault - graham wright not returning to the club after his lsl i'm sure there's more
  16. thank goodness this won't drag on for another 7 weeks until trade period 2024 is over aha ahaha ahahahahahaha AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  17. i think this year showed how hard it is to set up the core identity you want to have as a team from season to season, let alone in-season i think we'll continue to evolve our game plan based upon our personnel my biggest concern is that we are seemingly wanting to move to a more skill-based gameplan - much like everyone else in the competition - but without the players possessing the skillset to pull it off
  18. whateley would have a line to petracca his statement this morning that it's not about going to a 'big club' but just out of melbourne is telling
  19. i'd say in terms of workrate the only player we have who rivals him is ed langdon, although arguably gawn's is also enormous but you just don't think about the great man like you do a 'small' anb is a huge loss and a massive gain for the crom another reason to loathe them
  20. i would assume it's per promotional campaign, so a series of posts / interactions / endorsements so it would depend on the client and the ambassador as to the level of effort he is required to go to to engage with audiences
