  1. finally, a goal! this gw$ vs pear game has been ugly to watch but...a close game is an entertaining game, i guess...
  2. interesting move to try bedford as a tagger on butters didn't work in the first quarter but gw$ starting to win a lot more of the footy this term edit: bedfford rolled onto rozee when butters having a rest
  3. goddamn norf
  4. filth are gonna win by 5 goals at this rate
  5. wow north are fun to watch
  6. don't like the way the filth are reducing the margin reckon north will want to by 7 goals to the good at 3/4 time to feel 'safe'
  7. yep as irrelevant as whateley's pontificating
  8. their speed by foot and in terms of ball movement is going to be a really big issue
  9. wow - filth going at 170 pressure rating, kangas at 220 amazing
  10. how even is football at the moment?!?? (bloods need not apply)
  11. he cost us a second rounder think of him as a loaner for a year in 2023
  12. of those currently under contract. darcy parish would be one that i would definitely be keen to have a chat with i can't see the peptides wanting to honour their very long deal with him given that their midfield seems to operate better without him as such, if we can take on the wage and not give up much collateral, it would appear to be a potential win: win
  13. as one of the commentators said today, or a variation on it - "grundy is fantastic when he can work himself into the game throughout the course of play" which is true it's also what sets gawn apart as the best ruckman ever having them together in the same side was just a waste of two incredible talents
  14. 9 kicks; 8 goals 1 amazing amartey
  15. from mum: 8 kicks and 7 goals 1 for amartey
  16. going okay at 67% disposal efficiency; his clangers and turnovers hurt him - 2.4 and 3.1 a game from only 14.2 possessions per game you can't teach speed and skill what i like is that he is capable of punching the kick when moving at top speed - some of his field kicking this year has been elite
  17. michalanney reminds me so much of ben hart (albeit not as good) impressive young player
  18. agreed i'm really curious to see if he can add that inside / outside game to his arsenal, as it is one of the things that sets the likes of dawson and warner apart
  19. 100% game has gone from 'contest and defence' to 'speed and skill'
  20. what about rachele? signed a massive deal and has 'disappointed' this year according to the likes of kornes (i think he's still been pretty good) i'm not sure he's a mid - certainly hasn't rolled thru there this much this year - but he has played in that mid / fwd combo role in the past and has some nice skills biggest query would be pace
  21. can see the bloods doing what they always seem to be doing of late - give up a start in q1, grind their way into it in q2 and q3, and then run away with it in q4 seems to have been the modus operandi of late - it was ours for a while too over the 2021-23 years; you come unstuck eventually, as we know it's a risky way to play
  22. whateley on sen with laura kane was like a dog with a bone - he just wouldn't accept that 'doctors know best' he's a good commentator when he's calling the game, but he's a pretentious poindexter
  23. meh, no premiership
  24. i'm halfway in the roco camp i THINK we're cooked but...we might not be? there's over a third of the season still to go, after all
  25. sorry @WalkingCivilWar, but something that i think is worth discussing re grundy - one of the advantages of trading him for reasonably similar to what we 'paid' for him is we got all his salary off the books where'd the circa ~700k a year go? certainly not on fullarton or billings (with the aints apaz paying a portion towards that of his high salary) i wonder whether we're paying 'unders' this year in order to maximise our salary cap capital in future years now, back to non-mfc - imagine how good the bloods would be if they had been able to keep dawson
