  1. further proof that the nga and zone selections helps them retain local players eh...
  2. travis boak remains a marvel not quick, not a brilliant user, but just so smart
  3. would have to be a very good offer indeed, i suspect
  4. kornes is such a numpty teams want to deal with each other as they have to EVERY YEAR for the rest of the afl's existence it's not like there's more teams that they can trade with outside the league look at how bad the reputation has been for the peptides to deal with for over 20 years; you don't want to have even the perception that you're hard to deal with as it stains you for players, managers, other clubs, and - ultimately - the medja he's such a stephen a smith wannabe
  5. flow on effect is that the pear get cumming and perryman as free agents?
  6. js29 is ooc at the end of 2024 and will, presumably, not be offered another contract
  7. almost like - shock! horror! - this puff piece on stringer was set up by his manager
  8. he played on the wing for gw$ quite often early days from that age yarn from when he joined us: During his time at GWS, Tomlinson was used as a utility, spending time both in attack and defence, on the wing, and even pinch-hitting as an undersized 194-centimetre ruckman. he played all bar 4 games in his first season with us, so really he only had one year with us before we found a 'role' for him - as a tall defender; the knee injury robbed him of a chance to play that role permanently i much prefer either petty or t mac playing as the third tall accompanying may + lever in the backline set-up
  9. crom nuffies seem to think they'll offer something far later as 'dees already said he's leaving' i think they miss the bit where he's still under contract etc. and a deal has probably been tentatively in place for some time
  10. Plus Gale and Mathews
  11. this has always been my cynical take on it too waterman the same
  12. nathan 'freddy' kreuger could definitely play a role for us as a fwd / ruck i imagine the filth feel the same way about his potential role for them but he's constantly breaking down with injury
  13. both have played 'up' in their underage year - i'm confident both will be afl-level recruits in terms of riak, the rule SEEMS to indicate that he remains in our academy as he wasn't selected as an 'underage' recruit kid is still all of 19 currently, so hardly 'mature age'
  14. riak andrew's write-up in the rookie me central wildcard summary... #5 Riak Andrew Tall Defender | 192cm | 17/02/2005 Stats: 12 disposals, 7 tackles, 3 rebound 50s Having arguably been bested by Jobe Shanahan in their previous two meetings this year, Andrew faced the daunting task once more and kept Bendigo’s spearhead forward goalless for just the second time. The over-ager stuck tight to his direct opponent and was able to nullify his marking influence when Bendigo had the wind advantage. After some tough moments in term two, one of Andrew’s best moments was a rundown tackle late in the piece to exemplify his effort and intent.
  15. get jai in 2024, then target caleb in 2025? it's high time we get another quality player out of flagmantle - white, langdon... add serong we'd be ahead of the ledger (i'm ignoring chisholm and balic) with farmer and jackson the big names who've gone the other way? in some respected i'd prefer andy brayshaw to caleb serong, but they'd both be key to our midfield, as would hayden young be
  16. this anb is a leader and someone who will set a base standard for the others around him to aspire toward
  17. chaplin was excellent i thought as did the coaches
  18. was fyfe putting in that sort of performance in the wafl inside 10 games?
  19. it's almost like - shock! horror! - football is pretty unpredictable at the pointy end
  20. legend of a person, awesome player, brilliant leader trust in max to make the decision when he wants to relinquish the leadership
  21. for mine... 6: hore 5: mackin 4: pearce 3: mcnamara 2: chaplin 1: heath
  22. would be nice if we could get a htb go our way
  23. fantastic ball movement bannan's speed makes such a difference in the front half of the game
