  1. jamar shows great rucking and forard presence at sandy but cannot (or has not so far) made any at AFL level
  2. finally some good news we might do ok this week, still not expecting a win, but good to hear spirits are still up
  3. its a massive ask agianst the swans especially at the scg for the young kids i hope people dont put too much on their games
  4. i heard holland was not too far from the bar last saturday night, maybe that has a lot to do with it
  5. the bizz out is a shocker! absolute shocker! great to finally see some young kids in, cant wait to see how they go very happy to see ward and wheatley out, havent given up on wheats but he hasnt played good football of late
  6. im very excited......... oh wait thats because of a massive BBQ im going to that night, i suppose ill look at the game until we are getting flogged by 1/4 time
  7. id play miller, dunn, davey out of the square with green at CHF with pickett and yze on the flanks
  8. aaron also now plays more up the ground than alwyn and thats why he doesnt tackle as much nor kick goals because half the time he is getting by passed
  9. hope for the games sake and his own that he is ok
  10. i think dunn would benefit with miller CHF it means he is getting 3 or 4th best backman once neitz and robbo are back, miller will get back to taking his marks again and then people will then have a go about his disposal again (which has improved 100% this year) miller gets lost at CHB, he is out and out a CHF who loves the big long leads and the plays the link up man very well and when we move the ball quickly and he isnt having to compete against 2 each contest he will take much more than he drops, also look at how many times we either kicked it over his head or made him stop and prop to wait for the ball because they couldnt put the ball out in front of him, that was a massive difference between the 2 teams yesterday, they hit pav on the chest, we put it on our forwards heads and let the defenders come over the top
  11. i think he was meant to centre the ball with the way he tried to kick it, but a great goal all the same
  12. pj did take 2 overhead marks yesterday jamar has been disapointing, dont think his first touch was until he kicke dthat goal, not good enough for a player to be on the ground a fair bit and not touch the ball
  13. agree it was a weak effort but he has been a shining light this year and i hope the guy is ok for next week
  14. i dont think it would be a miller v dunn, whith neitz going in the next few years we can easily have both in
  15. oh dont get me started on that!
  16. yes yze's first half was ok but he did not use the ball that well in the first half, especially compared to the second half
  17. you could tell he was a bit rusty but got much better in the last term i really loved his chases and enevour when he made a mistake he sprinted the 30 meters to the contest to make a difference a lot of his mates should take note and this is the sort of stuff the coaching staff should highlight for the whole team to see
  18. i was told today that rivs will prob miss next week too
  19. at least with bate he is young and can improve his skills over the year, some who are a lot older do the same and besides when you are getting belted the pressure (real or not) causes more clanger kicks especially in a guy who has played 10- 12 games?
  20. thought miller was good today, had an argument with some guy about how he kept blaming miller for losing out when the odds 2 on 1 on him the bizz settled well after a shaky start and im glad for it
  21. yze's second half was great he did what we all have wanted him to do by chasing, tackling and defensive pressure that has been lacking of late, also he put his body on the line to when it was his turn. there was some positives
  22. not entirely so they rn the ball from every kick in pretty much to their forward 50, most of the time without us even getting within 10ft of the player with the ball where as our kick ins were slow and ineffectual, our players are already waiting for the ball before the player with it is ready and then there is no where for any one to lead.
  23. in an ideal world he would go back to sandy for a few weeks to gain some confidence and bounce back but unfortunately we dont have that luxury he will get better and will be a good player for us
  24. hard to say carrol was poor the ease with which they passed the ball to him was depressing
