8 minutes into the first qtr I was doing my Wordle (3rd row), 12 minutes in I was pouring another drink, a few mins after that I wasn’t paying much attention and by qtr I had turned it off and went out to enjoy the quietness of a country night lit up by the full moon. I honestly don’t think I’ll bother tuning in much anymore until we play a good brand of football, I watched some of the North-suns game and the Doggies - Lions and both were decent watches. Shame when you look forward to watching other teams play, but we are back to that.

With the talent on this list these outcomes are a disgrace. Goodwin has no idea, every time you see the camera go to him, he is just sitting there, the few times in the first qtr it panned to Scott he was talking with his assistants. Goodwin had his head over a laptop angled to the corner. He has no idea how to get us out of this mess.

Goodwin should be happy that the owners of the Denver Nuggets dont own MFC. Similar coaching stints, got generational talent, one flag/championship, list/roster got holes etc One big difference is Denver is 4th in a very competitive western conference. I wish our board had the fortitude to make the right call now.

It will be such a Melbourne thing that we had two generational players in Oliver and Trac and we lose both for a half eaten pickled onion from the fish n chips shop.

Half the problem is players see Salem get the ball and just handball over his head without looking so he takes no contact, Gawn did it too, so players watch two of the more senior guys panic and it sets in. Chin is prob the only one I would say has shown some growth this year. Most have gone backwards, and some like Salem should be sent to Casey. And Windsor has struggled a bit because he is not a defender but our super smart coaches belief anyone can play half back, did the same with Salem and he still can’t defend one on one half the time, Fritta back there was a disaster and was Lewis.

What a bad coaching job last night. Letting the cats have a spare behind the ball all night is A+ Trump style thinking. Every time they panned to Goodwin in the box he had a stunned dumb look on his face, not talking to the other assistants, not on the phone, just a blank I have no idea look. Enjoy the next 19 weeks, cos there is no way Green will have the fortitude to sack him. Essendrug will end up with pick 3 and we will enter next year with the same boring [censored] game plan, love and learnings.

I'll never not follow Melbourne, but I sure as [censored] prefer the way other teams play the game. But you are right, I have lost some interest, and that's in the game as a whole, I use to watch lots of games and AFL tv shows, now I go on demonland and follow a little bit of content on twitter, watch the Dees and maybe have another game or two on in the back ground.

I’ve never liked a Goodwin and I never will. That said, he has had a few good coaching years and some bad, but the last few I’ve hated as you could see the way the game was trending and he still sat with a too tall, slow moving team and implemented a bland game of football. It’s like being forced to only eat boiled white rice for every meal because you have the constant runs. This team, is bland, it’s boring and it favours a union rugby maul more than skill. I pretty much never go to games anymore, it’s not worth the long drives and costs, and yeah I felt this way when we were winning, but the wins glossed over it a bit. I’ve been a member for 30yrs and would attend 15+ games even during the Neeld years, but now I have zero care to go to a Melbourne game. will we start winning games? Maybe. Do I think so… nope. I think 5 wins maximum this year. Will we stay bland and boring. I reckon so.

The best thing about Saturdays game is I'm out all day and will not see 1 second of it. If we win I'll watch a replay Sunday morning, if we lose then I've not had an afternoon of frustration :)
